The only people she was ever bold enough to hit were Krillin, Master Roshi, Oolong and Yamcha. _DBZS_ Bulma acts more like the average "modern" anime character than her old self. She doesn't even _look_ like herself anymore. One of the many reasons I could never get into _DBZS_ is due to all the retcons. It's like they wanted to make a "new" _DBZ_ for the new generation while using the same characters. 🙄

If I had to guess, I think Piccolo was questioning why Goku would stay married to ChiChi when she has such a fiery temper that he was so afraid of for a while. And now he finally got the answer to his question.

Literally every single Saiyan from their universe is in a relationship with a strong willed woman. Chi Chi, Bulma, Gohan, heck even Broly with Chelai. All of them are not afraid to throw hands with their universe destroying husbands/bfs.
