"Pick of the Day" - 2019 Gibson Custom '59 ES-335 and 1965 Fender Deluxe Reverb

Today we have a wonderful and pristine modern ES-335 to share with you, a perfect copy of a specific 1959 model with a nice family history behind it. This one is on display in our shop as the owner is inheriting the original guitar that it was modeled after - and we're lucky to have it! Today we've got Trevor here to tell you about it and the lovely 1965 Fender Deluxe Reverb we have paired it up with, before handing things off to Nick Mardon for the demo.

My 335 is much darker sounding in a good way, those oxfords might be pretty bright

EC, I gotta know: EC has this consistent tone throughout pretty much all their videos that makes every amp (and talented player) sound great. I use a Silver Princeton; please, I’m begging you - tell me your secrets and how do I come close to that EC sound (besides cranking the reverb)?

They usually run a pretty good snap of treble on all the amps when they demo. Don't know if the players set the tone, or if the store does.

I usually use treble 6-7 middle 5-6 and Bass 4-5 on Fenders.
