You and me both, Brett … A large garden that I could grow exotics in would be a dream.

They have a great selection. It will be a long time before my seedlings produce any fruit, so I cant wait to see what you bring back. Drive safely.

Wow, they have an incredible selection of pawpaws this year!

Yes, they’ve got all sorts, Peter. It seems Pawpaws are gaining popularity in Europe.😃

@@MoebiusUK hopefully, they’ll start to become more available over here eventually 🤞

Hi Dominic, if you have enough room to bring me back a large ready to fruit pawpaw, please do it.
@MoebiusUK5 ай бұрын
I don’t know if any are ready to fruit, Mike. 😂 Most will flower next season though, one or 2 plants I’ve seen, already have buds.

If the potted pawpaw is too big/old then it will suffer greatly from "J" root and can run into trouble later as the misformed taproot cannot get the nutrients it need after being planted. I have my seedlings in DIY 24" tree pots to protect the taproot which can easily grow 2 feet in its first few months.

@@blomeruscalitz2398Yes, it’s actually better to get a younger specimen of PawPaw for the reasons you mentioned.

I found a comment you made about growing paw paws in London on Reddit and followed you here. I’ve long been curious as to whether they will fruit in the uk. I’m also based in London and would love to grow some. Looking forward to getting some tips from your channel.

Oh, that’s so cool. Glad you found me here. Yes, they can grow l in London. I definitely recommend trying. Seedling plants are readily available in the UK but will take longer to fruit than grafted plants, which are harder to some by. I hope you give it a go.
@jesscat61595 ай бұрын
@@MoebiusUK thanks for the tip. Where did you get your grafted ones? Do you recommend getting a few different varieties to help with pollination?
@MoebiusUK5 ай бұрын
@@jesscat6159 Yes, two or more genetically distinct plants are required for cross pollination. I get my named variety pawpaw plants in Brittany, France. Actually just on my way back from a trip now. My email is listed in the “about” section of my KZbin channel .. feel free to email any questions related to plants and where to find them.

@@MoebiusUK Thanks so much for the info. Not sure a trip to Brittany is on the cards for me for a bit but I will deffo take you up on your offer to email re plant advice. That’s super helpful kind of you. Have a safe trip home. I hope you bought some exciting stuff!

I did have a quick look but I didn’t see any blood peaches there I’m afraid.

@@mauriceatkinson9520 I imagine ‘Lubera’ in Switzerland would have them but unfortunately they no longer deliver to the UK. The nursery I visited in this video is ‘L’ombre des figuiers‘, they’re based in Brittany.
