If you can't afford to buy it cash, don't finance it, easy as that. And if opportunity cost needs to be mentioned as an argument in this discussion, then the person can't afford it. It's a set of wheels, not a full on car or house. Simple as that.

Hey buddy, I'm just saying you have no idea how the credit system works if that's what your end opinion is. Even with a small percentage of interest if you don't mind the end term extra cash spent financing wheels can easily boost low credit. Just saying, if you can't afford it and actually know how to run numbers, it's not terrible. They suggest it as well because you may not be able to afford the wheels you realllly want. I work at a garage and they send their wheels in great condition, never damaged, and they use painted weights when they can. Mounted balanced, shipped and installed it's often cheaper to run through fitments financing then through my store straight up. Hope the advice isn't considered hostile, but I like helping people love their cars.

My process is find a general idea of fitment , i figured out 15x8 with 35 offset is what works , (25 on some wheels) my front end just uses 5 mm spacers I used 25 offset wheels with a flatter face then I thought but one of the wheels I like a lot for certain cars is the black on black av19’s from avid one they’re extremely light for the size , wheel and tire weighs less then the stock rim standalone , but I’m also using a light car so not as much stress on the wheels

You don’t need to spend 600 or more for tires unless you track your car. I have under 100 dollar per tire on my car and they are actually fantastic. They are uhp all seasons with a 189 mph speed rating, Super grippy and quiet.
