Something I really appreciate about the celica ring is it’s synergy with Draconic hex. A lot of late game engage maps have you apply Draconic hex to one or more bosses so you can rush them and end the map without dealing with all the enemies, so a celica user with Draconic hex can be really useful for applying debuffs via warp ragnarok without having to include them in the Byleth dance. If there’s more then one boss you can also echo them to apply multiple Draconic hexes, so it’s like a mini version of torrential roar. It was really fun in my playthrough so it could be fun for yours!

Alfred is a fantastic Eirika user, it's just the issue of "he's an earlygame unit and Eirika is the last Emblem you get", so he needs to be a long-term commitment.

Thankful for this video coming out today, and can't wait for the run to start! I know you won't try for this strategy since it requires quite a bit of gacha luck, but I've made Timerra work by giving her the S-rank Chrom ring and feeding her a few Secret Books. She has had over 30 base Skill, and with the 5% boost for Sandstorm as well as a forged Brave Lance she can handle enemies easily. And if you decide to try KingKP's Lindon strategy, be sure to go for the S-rank Claude ring for extra range when at full health.

If I'm gonna do the gacha, it's probably going to be for Olwen! Maybe Claude... I've been looking more into Timerra because I'm interested in her passive saving me from crits, and it seems she has a good amount of ring combos available to her. Might actually give her a try this time

One idea for Alear is Wolf Knight. You still got the sword, and you get knifes, and hobble at level 5. I guess you could give Alfred speed taker to make up for his speed. Personal suggestion is to get Celine’s support with Alcryst, or any other non Firene character. Edit: a mystical unit with Byleth gets extra range on tomes (including the infinite hit tome).

That’s how I have always used Alfred, Wolf really feels like the perfect growths for him. I may switch him back to Avenir later because it has great class modifiers but I’m not a fan of the style though. Gotta play in style no matter what difficulty for me.

24:00 I promise i’m not trying to be biased to the Framme build i suggested, but the problem I see with using Alfred as a Lucina bot is that he’s gonna fall behind in exp from the mid game onwards due to the nature of bonded shield spamming. His defense won’t hold up long term, whereas framme will be “invincible” from mid game onwards as per her dodge rates + micaiah engraving. Overall a great list, hope you two have fun and win!

32:43 - you don’t sound stupid, it’s a solid idea to combine cupido with holy stance especially. I used this build sort of, having the eirika ring on him with a max forge steel blade for twin strike damage and inherited holy stance from celica onto him 33:30 - After you get Veyle, you could choose pandreo to have byleth if you’re having difficulties choosing who to put on byleth. Mysticals get the range from thyrsus, which is a point in their favor, but again byleth is also really good on anyone, fliers for goddess dance best use 35:37 - Marth’s for mystic makes lodestar rush calculate damage with magic stat, so like a sage using marth’s sword would deal magic damage to I think the foes defense instead of res. You could still do this with mage knight citrinne, just use the levin sword for the attack and it’ll calculate of magic. Either works, so it’s up to you class wise. The other marth benefits also stand. This is an idea that I haven’t heard of but is awesome to see, but you could also just give citrinne dire thunder and give goldmary marth Can’t wait to tune in and see the Ironman, best of luck speedy to both you and glitter!

I've not played Engage since the DLC waves ended, I can't wait to watch you and Glitter play it! I need to go back and play it again and again, I did multiple playthroughs and ironmans and loved them all, this game is so much fun to replay and try using new builds and characters. Just thought I might throw a few things I have done in the past in this comment in case some might be cool suggestions... Marth: Super early-game Alear or Celine keeps it for me, because Celine can turn Lodestar Rush magical. If you are training Lapis (I love her as a character so much, she needs some investment to keep up but I enjoy training her), she can use Marth and it gives her a huge boost in combat ability that can help her keep up as a Swordmaster or if you reclass her to Wyvern. Marth ring returns latest, and by that time you might have a very established roster, but if you give Goldmary a really powerful blade she can have the Marth Ring and access to a nuke in Lodestar Rush so she's not just a Dual Strike bot. Celica: I like Citrinne and Celica to carry it early-game. Later on I like it on Fogado for Radiant Bow, or Pandreo when Corrin ring goes to Veyle maybe? Sigurd: I know Louis + Sigurd is tried and true for a lot of people early-game. Personally, every single playthrough I have done I have found myself using Sigurd with Ivy late-game. I save up SP in the chapters after she joins to buy Ivy Speedtaker, and then her being the only flying mage nuke + Speedtaker and innate Canter from Sigurd is amazing for both hit-and-runs and general combat. She also can hit-and-run archers with Thoron. Leif: I personally found him the least useful overall. I like him on Diamant while that combo is available, but when Leif rejoins I struggled to utilise him well. Roy: Roy's attack boost and bonus levels from Rise Above give such a huge swing in attack power its crazy. Since reclassing is not as easily accessible in early-game, I like using Roy on Chloe when that combo is available because it can help her attack power and she is most accessible flier at that point. Late-game when Roy returns I have enjoyed using him on Merrin or Wolf-Knight Yunaka with a high-crit-refined Peshkatz. Lyn: Lyn is OP and can improve anyone greatly. I personally haven't used her with Ivy beyond a few chapters after Ivy's recruitment, but that's only because I buy Ivy Speedtaker relatively quickly. I use Lyn on Wyvern Kagetsu a lot, his stats + her combat skills and Killing weapons refined to give avoid have made Kagetsu the MVP of every one of my Maddening playthroughs, ironman or otherwise. Having the strength stat to utilise Mulagir and Killer Bow is very valuable. Eirika: She is very flexible, like Roy I find any physical unit appreciates her. I love her and Chloe because they look similar and I find that and their interactions cute. I also like Merrin with her, or when I have trained Timerra Sandstorm + Eirika's true damage + a crit can destroy anything. Timerra needs some love but the times I've used her were great fun and it's been with Eirika. Ike: This is one where no suggestions are necessary, you are set on Diamant of course. I too have always used Ike with Pannette or Diamant. Micaiah: My personal favourite ring in the game because Micaiah is my fav female lord and also the strategies her ring opens up utilising staves are game-changing. Hortensia is just too good a fit for her, being a flying staff user with that personal skill to save uses on valuable staves. Also Thani turns Hortensia into an amazing General and Great Knight killer in late-game, bypassing her somewhat middling magic stat. Lucina: She has always been a bit odd for me because I never found Bonded Shield to be something I turned to as an option very often, but that's just my personal experience I guess. Parthia is awesome, so I like giving her to a non-Backup class with high movement and no bow access, so they can Dual Strike innately while also being able to have effective damage on fliers, which get scarily strong and more common in the later chapters. I therefore have used her mostly on Wolf Knights, usually Yunaka, Zelkov or Merrin, because they have the speed to double with Parthia and kill the tough fliers, and the dagger Dual Strikes debuff enemies as well. Corrin: I love this ring, she changes the pace of battles in your favour so much using the Flame Vein it's incredible. Dragons are amazing with it, I do personally tend to give it to Veyle later on, and as you say Pandreo can use Flame with it until then. Byleth: I do like fliers with this because of the mobility as Glitter pointed out. The spectrum stat buff that Dragons give while using the ring is nice, but setting up dances is nowhere near as flexible. Whenever I have trained Chloe or Wyvern Lapis they have been candidates for him, because he can help them gain levels and SP as well throughout the game. Sorry for the really long essay, but I am so hyped to watch you play Engage! Also, I laughed at 19:23, it just sounded like Glitter was saying "I don't like her butt!!"

Looking forward to watching the cutscenes with you guys, I haven't watched them since my first playthrough. Some thoughts on your more contentious emblem choices: You could try Radiant bow+Sniper+Speedtaker+Citrinne or Pandreo since you don't really have a good Byleth user, and the extra speed you give to you allies will let them double the scarier enemies (wolf knights and fast bosses). It isnt as good as Lyn+Sniper, but Byleth gives a little bit of Speed and Magic and the only other choice would be having Ivy/Zelkov/a Griffin Knight be your Byleth user with what you chose. Edit: If you reaaalllly wanted to, you can also give Byleth to Hortensia and just give Michaiah to Goldmary and have her be a Rewarp/Warp bot since shes not doing much anyways. It will at least help you until you can get to Marth. (Which I just checked, magic Lodestar Rush is only on mystical like on Sigurd). You can also switch Zelkov off of Theif into an Axe class later on to use his big BLD stat with and an even bigger STR with Roy, he won't be fast enough to double faster enemies later on anyways. Finally don't forget to put Michaiah's engraving onto Framme's weapon before you lose her, it will make getting to 100% dodge rate a lot easier for Lucina chaining. Good Luck!

What I think best rings are for certain units based on who you're using: Byleth: Veyle or Pandreo. either dance + lecture gives +3 to all stats or pandreo gives +4 to magic which is nice for ivy, fogado and citrinne. Mystic also gets Thyrsus which is really nice for Pandreo Celica: Veyle, Pandreo or Citrinne if you aren't using dire thunder. Veyle gets range with the engage skills, mystic gets damage boost and magic knight for citrinne (best class for her imo with swords) allows for more warp range. Celica is a meh engage ring so it's really just used for whoever doesn't have one. Holy stance stinks for mages. if you really want the skill inherit it on a different unit. Marth: Goldmary or Zelkov. Zelkov can poison with divine speed which is awesome and Goldmary gets an extra attack with lodestar rush. and both of them get a mega boost to avoid. Either of them work really well Corrin: It's alear. i'm sad that it's alear but it is. Alear should use marth for the first half of the game though and buy nothing from his list and save the skill points Leif: Alfred explained in different comment Roy: Lapis will die i'm sorry but it's true. Kaghetsu and Diamant work well. Diamant especially if you buy the skills from Ike that you want and then throw ike on Pannette. Bond rings: Claude for warrior etie to cheat. if Kaghetsu has no ring slap Navarre on him. Citrinne with Olwen. Rosado with Xander. Timmera/Alcyrst with chrom. Finn, Sothe or Deidre with Seadal. Other then that the rest i think work, good luck speedy.

For lapis I normally always make her a Lance Hero and give her Eirika. I giver her the Hero bot tools, eirika helps with her survivability and damage and then for her last slot I give her avoid so she can dodge take but to do that in unison with her passive you have to give up reliable crit

When I played Engage, I did the ring pairings like this Alear (Divine Dragon)- Corrin Alfred (Avenir)- Sigurd Boucheron (Warrior)- Ike Céline (Vidame, which counts as Mystic so she gets Thyrsus)- Byleth Jean (Martial Master)- Eirika Alcryst (Tireur D’elite or however you spell his class)- Lyn Amber (General)- Roy Ivy (Lindwurm)- Micaiah Kagetsu (Griffin Knight)- Marth (in the post game I gave him Eirika on maps that Jean wasn’t deployed tho) Zelkov (Wolf Knight)- Lucina (posioning ppl with the dual strike thingy is good) Pandreo (Mage Knight)- Celica Seadall (Dancer)- Tiki Mauvier (Royal Knight)- Leif (the Light Brand is SOOOOOO GOOD ON HIM!!!) Veyle- (Fell Dragon)- Veronica (but in the post game I gave her Celica and stopped using Pandreo. Celica might be better for her in the long run tbh. She gets extra range on the echo move which protects her from getting hit). Celine and Byleth I think is like one of the best combos in the game. They fit perfectly with each other, and she also uses the Sword of the Creator well because it gets bonus damage according to the unit’s magic stat, and her strength isn’t garbage either.

@@SpeedyHawkyeah!!! Also divine pulse+ is good with her because her luck stat is already very high, and Byleth makes it even higher. She’ll never miss because of that even with staves. By the time I maxed her stats out she had 62 luck I think. ☠️ And Sword of the Creator also has dragon effectiveness so it could work against Wyverns. Sure you could equip her with Excalibur, but I tended to just give her Bolganone, Thoron and a bunch of staves. She uses the Vajra Mushti well too cause the damage for fist weapons scales off Strength and Magic.

Random (and maybe bad) ideas lol: Berserker Kagetsu. Boost his attack and use high might axes Halberdier Louis. I've only used it on hard mode. He keeps his S lances and gets to move a little more. Hos defense stays pretty good too. Also I just want to see halberdier more lol.

If you end up using Louis, I would unironically make him a thief. His biggest issue in Maddening is that his def is so high that he take 0 damage and enemies run past him instead of attacking. Thieves have the same issue with 0 avoid making enemies run past them. But since Louis has a really high def base and growth, but a low speed base and growth, you can make him a thief which will nerf his def, but buff his speed into a sweet spot where he will take very little damage from attacks, but will also be very dodgy while not reaching 0 damage, or 0 hit(besides some late game warriors). The only issue are mages as he will take a lot of damage, and they negate terrain bonuses. But that is already the issue with Louis and thieves to begin with.

I swear Timerra can be good, I've used her to good success before without dlc! I mean sure I havent exactly played past chapter 20 because Id get bored and start a new run, but in the time that I do use her shes been effective! Shes a walking luck tonic which adds flexibility against all those low crit percents you constantly face in Engage and shes in a back up class for dual assist support. Then if you put more investment into her she becomes a unit capable of baiting out enemies thanks to her higher defense and speed and a Sigurd ring helps her bld and mt issues a bit while also letting her have Silver Greatlance overrides with a decent chance to proc sandstorms against the line. Im sorry if I wrote too much to the point of unreadability, I just really enjoy using Timerra and I personally think shes in the upper half of the royal units, above the likes of Diamant. Also Im super excited for these streams, I cant wait!

Yea Timerra's really nice use in an ironman is that with investment she can reliably enemy phase, I personally gave her Roy as a low priority ring so he patches her low strength and gives her the low 8 wt Binding Blade for a +5 def/res, 1-2 range option along with the lancereaver as a decent option to control the entire weapon triangle, the bit of spd he gives her and +5 spd inherit is enough for her to meet spd benchmarks in the lategame and overall I see her as this games best stat ball unit hmmm what else.... oh she has sandstorm I guess but if you rely on that with Timerra you're already missing the point of her good traits.

I think you guys should try and use Alfred. With fixed growths, he gets screwed because he doesn't level up well enough to keep up with newer units. With random growths there is a good chance this can be changed however. For class I would keep him in his personal for a rank lances and b rank swords and his personal that with a 40% dex growth is not going to proc all the time but when it does it's quite helpful. Another option would be to go with Great Knight with whatever two weapons at b rank you think is most needed. Allied defence is another way to reduce damage. For rings, I honestly think Leif would be best. Although as a mounted riding unit he doesn't get an additional benefits from leif, vantage + arms shields makes him a formidable tank. Adabtable also helps to make sure he isn't broken while engaged and quadruple strike is one of the skills of all time. For skills to put on Alfred, Speed +5 is never a bad option from lyn to make sure he keeps up against the enemies he is facing, however with his 50% speed growth in Avenir it might not be needed. Canter and going into Canter+ are also amazing, allowing him to be on the offensive and then pushing back to hold a choke for other units when need be. Later in the game Momentum (which i think works with quadruple strike) and break defence from marth are two great skills. Momentum allows to keep his damage up while shmooving around the battlefield while break defence will allow alfred to make an extra attack when weapon advantage occurs (that when using leif will be more often then not) Alfred's weakness is for sure against mages but in those situations make sure that alfred always carries a ranged lance to counter, and sometimes you won't even have to equip it if you are engaging with Leif at the time. Do I think he's gonna be the best unit? Not by a long shot but I honestly think he can work (and I also quite like the character.

I might come up with more comments later but two considerations come to mind. Others have mentioned Byleth going on a mystic but I absolutely have to second it. +2 tome range for 3-4 turns after a Goddess dance has been popped is nuts. The best application of Thyrsus is with Surge and Elsurge, as it turns your situational 1 range tome into a 3 range magic longbow that WILL always hit. In an ironman, having absolute hit rates is invaluable. I would consider fiddling around with swapping around Fogado and Ivy's rings for a few maps here and there depending on the needs of a run. Ivy loves Lyn for a bit, but once she gets speedtaker and speed +, it makes sense to have them part ways. Once Ivy gets to doubling she can shred through enemies, which often results in overkill you can spread around with Echo. Echo also can be useful to synergize with Ivy's hit boosting personal in case you really need to hit something with magic for a bit of damage. Fogado on Lyn does not do too much, but he still has good bow rank for various Astra storms which can hit on res or def. Again this is more of a "try it for a map or two" thing.

Lapis just needs her strength fixed. And she's solid I've had her in Warrior and of course Wyvern and she put in work. Alear I've had work with and without well. It just takes a little longer without the well. If you can get her like sword power 3 and hope she dont get strenth screwed that would be enough. Diamont kinda ass so I have no option on that💀 If you want some crazy stuff since you giving chloe eirika she can be a martial master and punch stuff with flashing fists lol

As long as Rosado survives this Ironman like he did the last one, I'll be content. Also, Fogado with Celica...? That actually sounds great to use; I'm gonna try that on my next Engage run, especially since I run him on magic anyways. I do have to wonder if either Speedy or Glitter saw Céline's A-support with Alfred; it reveals more about her than any of her supports, plus a possible reason why she talks about tea all the time.

Currently doing my first run and had Clanne with the micaiah ring and idk I guess i got lucky. He Nukes, heals and has insane avoid so even have using that sacrifice move (whatever it’s called) and has 1 hp he can hold out and continue to nuke and heal others.

Before Marth comes back put Mage Knight Citrinne on Byleth. She will benefit well from his stat boosts but more importantly, she will get Cav instruct which gives +10 Dex or 20 hit (and +10 proc on Diamant which will make Valk happy.) In a reliability context like an Ironman 20 extra hit is huge. So huge in fact that if you do Cav Byleth I predict you will Instruct then Dance just so you can Instruct again multiple times in the run.

Personally, for Alfred I always make him a thief. Then i stick Michiah on him and call him my butler. Bad jokes asside, he actually does decently as a theif. His personal does decently with waiting on avoid terrain and enemy phasing.

I think that ruleset is pretty fair as far as the DLC stuff is concerned. It seems like such a headache to make sure you don't spend a certain a mount of money, Bofrags, and ingots, doesn't it? For the statboosters, you can just use them all on a unit that you aren't going to use (when you retire Vander give him a parting gift of drugs!) I've heard Thief Alfred is good? You could put Leif on him. Finally, Alear Roy is very good, the bigger range on Blazing Lion and the extra stats from Rise Above are both excellent

I highly recomend having the Eirika user be a paladin unit due to the 50% damage bonus that cavs get. This will REALLY help against bosses without banking on crits. I don't know if this is a hot take, but if you're going to use Diamant-Ike you should reclass him to General (Axe), you get way more bulk than his prf class and he'll need the bulk(You have to play around -1 mov though)

Speedy, I beg, please do not make everyone a Hero for dual assist. It is the biggest noob trap that Engage has to offer, aside from maybe Alcryst x Lyn. It was physically painful to watch you turn Kagetsu, the best physical killing machine in the game, into a dual assist bot on your first ironman. It is much better to focus on building unit/ring combinations that can actually kill things on their own. Heroes have bad class bases in this game. Even someone like Goldmary for example can become a very serviceable Great Knight as she will have 28 base defense on reclass.

Hey hey hey, this comment is out of line >:(. Making Kagetsu a hero on my first one was a big mistake, but that's because I thought Kagetsu was insane enough to even be good as a hero, so I agree. However, for all of my other Heroes, they were just filler units that I invested very little into in order to maximize my damage output. The biggest killer in this game is the high speed end game units, and a lot of characters have trouble consistently doubling them. Being able to get a chance at a free 50% or so damage on their health bar is not terrible, and I would only do this on late game units with tons of SP that I haven't invested in anyway. Don't act like I lost my run because of my ninja turtles, I lost my run because my mind went full kaboom after the Panette incident. I still had my good combat units that I actually gave Emblem Rings to. I am sorry about Kagetsu tho....

LOL Alear with Leif, that is just bound to start another massacre once we reach late game. I personally use Diamant with Eirika for double heal with his default class and Sieglinde, but Ike works as well for Wrath and Great Aether. Also the fact this is a Full Story Playthrough gives me the excuse to have some… choice words about Chapter 24 in Chat. That is, assuming the Run doesn’t go completely downhill by then…

Alfred can pop off in thief(low build, does well with knives, fixes his speed problems, still does good damage), berserker(same-ish thing but you're trading low-weight weapons for a better build growth, he will probably be stuck with handaxes for a while here) and also wolf knight(although I personally find wolf knight alfred to be the worst of the three, not because of the stats or performance, but because cavalier unit type is usually worse than covert or backup as far as emblem rings go, so it doesn't pop off AS hard. His build will still be rip so it has to be sword/knife wolfknight or just javelins and steel/killer lances on lance wolf knight). With his stats/growth spread, he should also make a OK bow knight, as weird as it sounds. Although it's just worse wolf knight because wolf knight has knives and knives are stonks.

As for making Jade good (or any of the cast for that matter), a few nights ago, I looked at a stat growth calculator site for Engage and found most units stat spread can be rounded out to 50%+ on every stat for a majority of the characters if you use Tiki stat growth skill inheritance and make them either Mage Knight, Royal Knight, or Griffin Knight if you're trying to cap all stats (except Luck and Build) quickly with random turned on. Some like Citrinne and Ivy however needed Halberdier and other characters had niche oddball classes just to 50%. Pandero sadly just always has bad Str growth unless you make him a General, but even then, his mag ends up being only 45% and strength is still under 50% iirc. Keep in mind, I only do this to maximize potential use and decide based on what I think they'd work best at and whether or not they can use an off shoot magical wep in case they end up being able to take out physical tanks (including non-armored) where they'd normally struggle to do dmg because enemies Res ends up being low.

Citrinne and Fogado have been consistently amazing for me. Warrior Fogado, with Lyn and Citrinne with Soren are phenomenal. But since you guys aren’t going to be using the DLC, I’d probably say Micaiah for Citrinne. If Micaiah doesn’t end up on Hortensia, then stick her on Citrinne.

Here are some of my notes on units, but here are some notes on what I think is 'meta'. Wyvern Knight: I think this is straight up the best class in the game, because of its mobility and combat. The highlights of this class are Lapis, Kagetsu and Merrin; sometimes even Goldmary. A lot of units in Engage are pretty similar in performance the difference being their raw stats; if your Chloe sucks then use Lapis in wyvern knight because that fixes her str issues. Alear: Alear can be very middling as a combat unit without any DLC, I've found the only way to make her work is feeding every single stat booster to her and reclassing her to Paladin or Wyvern Knight with either the Marth or Roy Ring. It takes soooooo long to get Marth back though he might as well not exist for half the game. Merrin: I think she's just as good as Kagetsu but her starting class sucks, reclass her to Wyvern or Falcon with sigurd ring and she cleans house so easily. Pannete: You already know how good Panette is, but if she won't have the Ike ring the consider giving her the Leif ring maybe; apparently it's a strat to give her wrath with a killer axe and killer bow; and never level Leif up to bond ring 10, so his adaptability skill when engaged switches between her killer bow and killer axe and not his bad engage weapons. Mauvier: You always have space for him by the time you recruit Mauvier so might as well plan to use him, I think he's the best as an archer or bow knight because radiant bow is so overtuned in this game. Radiant bow is a 19 mt magic weapon, that on its own can one-shot the Falcon and Wyvern Knights in the volcano and avalanche chapters with effective damage. Zelkov and Yunaka: I think Zelkov kinda sucks, his dodge tanking is not reliable on maddening and he dies to every mage. He joins as soon as daggers start to fall off in damage and he takes forever to reclass to something better because of how the thief works. Yunaka is better for early canto and a res stat, but that probably won't matter because no well. I usually reclass her to Sniper because she can get really high crit rates with her personal and killer bow. Diamant: I just think he kinda sucks, his hit rates are a really big issue late game; and there are so many better options for offensive rings than him especially if DLC isn't included. I think he's fixable with DLC but without, you're better off with Lapis, Kagetsu, Merrin, Pannette, etc. Just make him a support unit with Hero brave assist. Rings - Roy ring: Roy engaged is one of the strongest rings in the game, sword power + binding blade + hold out is so good. Corrin ring: Vein of flame is the only vein you need, and only mystic units have access to it. I think the best units for Corrin are your sorcerers like Celline, Citrinned or Pandreo, since they have 3-range thoron with draconic hex for utility and flame vein is busted. Sigurd ring: The Sigurd ring on Celline is an early game Jagen with the Levin sword, but after you get him back late in the game, I don't think the damage keeps up. In the late game, I think you should give Sigurd to your strongest combat unit, this could be a Falcon Knight Merrin, Kagetsu or a Paladin Pannette because the override with Silver greataxe and greatlance can do like 70 damage; and even more if you get the legendary weapons.

Have you guys considered Byleth Ivy with canter and speed+3 because she still doubles while also having divine pulse for freeze and silence staves, and give Citrinne Lyn instead with Canter and Sword Power+3-5 in Mage Knight because all Citrinne needs is speed fixing and she gets speedtaker.

Ohh interesting... she would also get Thyrsus too... Ivy is usually one of my main damage sources so I am not super fond of having the Byleth Dance be on that role, I'd rather have it on more of a utility character. (I'm also not sure if she would be able to double without speedtaker, would need speedwings or some really great stat luck/tonic spam), but making Citrinne a speed threat sounds fun. I'll think about it!

Alcryst and marth lategame is a goated combo if you use a brave weapon divine speed gives you two extra hits so if you double and engage with marth you get 6 shots to get Luna or crit. Marth gives str spd and dex all the stats our boy needs And lodestar rush has seven chances to get Luna and delete an enemy. Let the prince cook

I love Jade but the best I've been able to do is a sniper/bow knight build. She can use the magic bow with her mag stat and has good strength/dex for crit builds, plus her personal/longbow makes her occasionally good for baiting mages. Great with Lyn/Sigurd.

I always pump kills and stat boosters into Alfred and Diamant. None of the other early game units I care about really plus you gotta let the prince’s shine. They always turn into carry’s for me. Wolf Alfred has almost perfect growths and Avenir has great class modifiers if you want to switch back after some levels.
