Pickle by using tender hog plums | Ambate midi uppinakayi | ಅಂಬಟೆ ಮಿಡಿ ಉಪ್ಪಿನಕಾಯಿ | Pickle recipe
Already posted a video about preparation of pickle from grown hog-plums. But today's video is all about making pickle from baby/tender hog-plums. Ingredients are mainly hog-plums, red chillies, mustard seeds and saturated salt water. Cleanliness is must and avoid normal water during preparation of any pickle to get best shelf life. Store in an airtight container or ceramic jar. Avoid steel or aluminium vessels completely for 2 reasons- vessels may spoil and ofcourse the reaction is harmful to our health. This pickle has shelf life of maximum 6 months, if stored properly.
Ingredients:
Tender hog-plums
Salt 250grms
Dry red chilli 100grms
Mustard seeds 150grms
Turmeric powder 2 spoon
