That's why I like her too! I would love to be vegan but I have to cook for more people and forcing them is never the way, I do incorporate a lot of the recipes from here so we at least have a couple vegan meals a week.
@sciencenerd7773 жыл бұрын
@@luanasinclair I am in the same situation as you. I cook for a number of people who are meat eaters but sometimes I do the whole imposter meals...they take a bite then wonder why it's different, but they still like it.
@DaBlondDude3 жыл бұрын
One of the reasons I first started following her. Various vegan friends were pushing the idea (some quite aggressively, accusing and loud). Her approach was much more palatable, "bash-free" and encouraging curiosity, giving ideas and offering insights, tips and tricks. I'm probably 90% vegan in what I consume now (that cheese is a toughie and I do love omelettes), with almost no meat. The shift has been slow, natural and gradual and this channel definitely played a role in that process.
@SingingSealRiana3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, her approach is very wholesome in all aspects. I can not really eat anything she makes, but I still really like her styl of cooking, her sothing voice, and I still get a bit of inspiration. I was always interested in veganism, in the no mockmeat, for added diversety kind of way. The first things I could cook where all vegan things with which I got my parents to reduce their consumption of animal produces. Sadly I got a lot of foodintolerances that make it impossible for me to go vegan in a wholesome way, so I appreciate her non judgmental attitude all the way more. I need to eat animal protein, just like a cat, and I do not think it is reasonable to shame someone for wanting to be halfway health. I think we are at a point where everyone should consider it, but there is no one solution that fits all and a movement that is all about being reasonable, thoughtful of other living beings and show empathy should question, how well they follow their own ideals if they are not willing to accept, that different people have different options and needs and just because something works for one, the other is not to fault for not being able to do the same. We all can do a little bit, but who does if it is always presented as an all in or all out situation? Sadia does great in that regard ^^

That dish with the oyster mushrooms looks so good! I never really cook with them at home, but whenever I get them in a dish at a restaurant, they look just like chicken and I'm all freaked out and I have to double check to make sure they didn't accidentally give me chicken 😂 They're so tasty though, I should start cooking with them at home too!

You can just bake them in the oven seasoned with salt, pepper and olive oil, or you can add potatoes, veggie sausages or other veg and spices to the bake. I bake them on 220 C for a golden, crispy finish.

Oh they are glorious, mushrooms are really healthy but so often overlooked, it is totally worth to start making them regularly. Wicked healthy has a lot of ideas what to do with them. My favorite no effort at all way to make oystermushrooms is bake them in the oven after coating them in a batter made from chickpeaflour, water, some oil and spices. Super easy, 5 minuts of work and absolutely delicious ^^
