Perfect timing, I stopped ordering takeouts because it was just pricey and it definitely gets cold once it delivered. I’ve been meal prepping more and it also gets boring sometimes. The recipes in this video is definitely going to be a nice change here and I love LOVE a good noodles bowl. Definitely takes me back to my college years too 😂 Thanks Sadia and PUL team 💕
@richardwallace63132 жыл бұрын
you have more control if you literally order takeout (pick up) rather than delivery. You never know how long your order will sit on the counter at the restaurant before a delivery person claims it, and then the delivery person might make several other deliveries before getting to your address. I gave up on delivery many years ago mostly because of this problem. Takeaways are much more reliable than delivery.

I’m having some rough low appetite problems related to my disability, and your channel has been really helpful for helping me eat what I can be sure are nutrient dense and balance meals at least a few times a week. I’m over the fast weight loss, hair thinning, and worsening illness symptoms from lack of nutrition, but I can count on Pick Up Limes every time :) edit: my absolute fave takeout is pad se ew from a specific restaurant, and although I order it at every Thai restaurant we go to, it’s always so dry and flavourless. The good version is soooo saucy and the noodles they use are hand torn rice noodles which makes it hard to beat!
@richardwallace63132 жыл бұрын
I encounter this problem every so often due to chemotherapy and the often awful side effects thereof. As you know, you have to eat especially when going through a rough period. Living in an Indian household, I have found that dal and rice are my saviors, be it sambar, spinach dal, tomato dal, etc. Curd rice also is helpful. I hope you can find something palatable and nutritious during your rough patches, all the better if from this channel. These noodles, would probably make with tofu seared in the hot oil instead of edamame, look like a good candidate. Another problem I have sometimes: I develop aversions to foods that sustain me during rough periods, because they become closely associated with ongoing nausea; thus, in my experience, it is best to have a few good things and rotate them a bit to avoid having that happen with favorites. Good luck to you.
@johanabi2 жыл бұрын
@@richardwallace6313 thank you! i find that rotating a few easy meals is usually a good strategy, so I just try and make sure they’re each as nutrient dense as possible! this channel, and a few other plant-based ones, make it easy to narrow down my choices. best wishes to you as well.

You READ MY MIND! Thank you! This might be an obscure request, but my all time favourite takeaway (I'm in Ireland) is a Spice Bag! It's a little brown bag with chips (fries) that are thick cut, fried veg like onion, garlic, chillies, and it usually has chunks of crispy chicken (which I omit). It's so nasty and so good, but I'd love to make it myself!
