How does this work at the top of a blanket if you put all stitches back on to make hem?

If you don't hand sew, it's got that lump on the purl side. Really, it makes a terrific blanket edge.

I would really recommend the Beginner Course. You machine is similar enough that it will be just what you need to really get going and build confidence.
