Welcome to yet another part of my SpongeBob project! I plan on reviewing every SpongeBob episode ever, to determine which episodes and seasons are good, and which are pure ScumBob. In this video, I review the mere 22 episodes in season 10, which includes giving fun facts, highlights, quotes, and a definitive answer as to whether I find it Good, Meh, or ScumBob. In addition, I give some general notes, stats, and facts. It's not quite as long a ride this time, so come see if this season deserves it's own place or if it gets the boot.

Wow, that ending didn't age well in the slightest. Not only did Pieguy discontinue the "Every Episode of Spongebob Reviewed" series (along with Bottom of the Bakery) but the ending is narrated by Cosmodore who turned out to be somebody who knowingly dated a minor

Since PieGuy has reached the TENTH season, here are the statistics for the series in general (so far), for those curious: 212 Good Episodes 91 Meh Episodes 108 ScumBob Episodes 3* Good Seasons (1, 2, and 3) *4 if you count 9B 5 Meh Seasons (4, 5, 8, 9*, and 10) *Both 9A and 9 in general 2 ScumBob Seasons (6 and 7) So a little over half of the series is good, but since it's only "a little over" (Not to mention that there are more Meh Seasons than Good or ScumBob), I think it makes the most sense to rank the entire series as "Meh".

That's pretty sad. Because during the first 3 seasons, I think it's literally one of the best cartoons of all time. Top 5 material possibly. But at this point, at least looking at the pieguy charts, a third of the entire series is garbage, and that's saying a lot when there are over 400 episodes.

I think that the good stuff is good enough to call the whole series good and I don’t really hate seasons 6-8 as much as most, don’t like those seasons, but don’t hate them. So to me at least, the series is good.

Season 11 has a mix of 9B and 10's animation styles, toning down the expressions a bit with some more on model stuff (and now you can definitely tell when John Trabbic boarded an episode when SB has smaller eyes and a bigger mouth, personally my favorite design of him in Season 11 and very noticable in Bottle Burglars, Squid Noir, and Library Cards)

I think Out of the Picture is an episode I can forgive for its darker concept since it manages to be extremely wacky and cartoony all the way through and never tried to portray it as Mr. Krabs seriously wanting to kill Squidward. Like, we see him try to but it isnt like Are You Happy Now? where they play parts of it completely straight to where it gets uncomfortable. I expected Mimic Madness to be the best episode of the season but I'm not surprised

Mermaid Pants is a decent episode. It's not groundbreaking by any means but it's not a terrible episode.

Although you supported your decisions pretty well, I feel you were a bit too harsh on the season. Especially when it came to criticizing it for rehashing. Yes, it's unoriginal, but I feel it distracts you from analyzing the episodes on their own. Personally, I really enjoyed this season, and would have given it a Good rating. Mainly because I thought the comedy was much better. However, I suppose you simply have a different taste in humor, which I can understand. I just wish you could give a little more slack to rehashed plots.

I pretty much stand by this. I think it was justfied very well, but I never really understood how rehashing can detract from the actual enjoyment so much. That said, I do think the season was lighter on comedy and dumbed down as well.

Well keep in mind he’s been watching this show for years and with these reviews he has to watch the same episodes at least 3 or 4 times so I’m not surprised he’s tired of seeing the same patterns again and again.

The rehashed plots were forgiving for some, but for Spongebob’s Place imo it was inexcusable, this story has happened like 5+ times

FroakieTrainer54 Him bringing up previous episodes in that one (as well as "Plankton Gets the Boot") was fine since there was a point to be made in doing so, but a lot of the time it felt like he was bringing them up for the sake of bringing them up. This happened in his season 9 review as well but it was more pronounced here. It's not so much about his own opinions, which were very well-justified and explained, but more the fact that that one aspect takes up more of his reviews than they should.

One thing that's really funny to think about is the soda drink hat appearing in Lost and Found, just cause of the idea behind it. The last we see of it is when Mr Krabs steals it back from the graveyard and then finds out it's not a rare collectors item worth a million dollars anymore. My theory is the hat was never put in the lost and found cause someone lost it, it was tossed in there by Mr Krabs himself , disgusted by the sight of it xD

They brought back Patchy the second time since Truth or Square, and he still sucks? I know you think he was meh in It's a Spongebob Christmas, but seriously, he hasn't had good segments since Friend or Foe (unless you count Patty Gadget). So, here's an idea I have for a Square Theory: What is it about old Patchy segments that make them fun? Why are the newer ones so consistently sub-par? What exactly is the difference between crappy editting and effects that are funny, and crappy editting and effects that aren't?

I think the main reason the later seasons have been meh is because they’ve lost that edge. The early seasons weren’t just hilarious by themselves, but they also dabbled in satire. They weren’t afraid to portray Bikini Bottom as a sometimes miserable place for people like Squidward. His resentment towards Squilliam for example.

This reminds me of how My Name is Earl was supposed to end. The premise of that show was that a crappy guy put every bad thing he’s ever done on a list and making every thing up. The show was supposed to end with him not being able to cross everything off, but due to his actions, other petiole started their own lists and made a change for the better, so ultimately it didn’t matter. It’s the same here. Pieguyrulz set out to review every episode of Spongebob, and though he was not successful in doing so, he inspired others. There’s one KZbin channel reviewing every episode of Phineas and Ferb in the same style as the Pieguyrulz reviews, and another guy reviewing every Beatles album in the same way that Pieguyrulz did. Even though you weren’t able to review every episode, it doesn’t matter because you have inspired multiple others to review what they are passionate about.

Not at the moment. I've only seen Ink Lemonade (Because someone said it's the worst of the series. It's bad, but not the worst.) and My Leg because it's paired with it. I've also seen a tiny part of There's a Sponge in My Soup and Cuddle E Hugs. I'm going to watch the whole season when it's done. Hopefully that won't be a whole year from now.

I thought you'd be more positive and less cynical about this season but you can't please everyone unfortunately. I really liked this season and I wasn't really bothered by any of the episodes, Hell my least favorite episode of the season plankton retires is just a meh episode with some jokes I really enjoyed. But that's just my opinion, it's a bummer though that many people aren't that satisfied with this season. It is what it is I guess

I think I have a theory on why Season 10 was so short. Correct me if this has been confirmed already: With all the staff changes that occurred after "SpongeBob You're Fired" and during "Sponge Out of Water," whether by accident or not, a bunch of people were hired with the standard 26-episode contract. At the time, there were only 15 episodes left in Season 9, so the tenth season was given 11 episodes to avoid the confusion of anyone's contract expiring mid-season. As far as Nick's lawyers are concerned, Season 10 is basically just Season 9C.

Honestly I came in excited hoping that this would be a good season to Mr.Guy but came out feeling mixed. I know its his opinion and I can't be mad at that and ill admit some of these episodes were already done but some episodes like Lost and Found really shouldn't have gotten a Scumbob for the little crime they committed, I personally thought the ending with Mr.Krabs and Spongebob was sweet and the references being distracting sadly was a pretty dumb reason but I can respect your thought on it . The episodes that were un original like Plankton gets the boot also were treated too harsh because of the argument that they were done a thousand times already. (Yes I know he said he understands why some people would like it.) Im not hating on PieGuy but I just wanted to share my thoughts. I really got scared at the end though but I really think Season 11 will be a lot better to him as a bunch of the episodes are original or at least done 1000x better than what it copies. My personal favorites are MY LEG!!, Chefbob, Man Ray Returns, and really the whole season except for a few episodes. P.S I like the new Piecons :)

Nice video! I wanted to mention the Out of the Picture episode. I think the twist is that the artist means that the art is only good if squidward is not in the pictures. This means the art is valuable when it is not a self portrait of squidward. They try to say the artist wants squidward dead, but it means its only valuable when squidward isn't in the art.
