Welcome to the second part of my SpongeBob project! I plan on reviewing every SpongeBob episode ever, to determine which episodes and seasons are good, and which are pure ScumBob. In this video I review all 39 episodes in the second season, which includes giving fun facts, highlights, quotes, and a definitive answer as to weather I find it good, meh, or ScumBob. In addition, I talk about my favorite episodes in the season, talk about some misconceptions I had before re watching the season, and give some general notes, stats, and facts about the season. In Christmas Who he has it switch eyes. Though pirates didn’t wear eyepatches because they had bad eyes, they wore them to have their eyes adjust to the light.

Yeah, gotta say, Dying For Pie is my favorite episode in the entire series. Squidward is my favorite character, and this episode is why. The fact that he goes through all of that, just to make Spongebob's last moments of life some of the best he'd ever had, makes him a much more lovable and relatable character. Yeah, he doesn't necessarily consider Spongebob a friend, but he cares enough about him to put himself through that much suffering just to make him happy for the last part of his life.

Sailor’s Mouth was one of the first episodes my brother and I got my mom to watch, to convince her that the show wasn’t that bad (we didn’t choose it, it was just the one on). She swore off the show after that, and didn’t want us to watch it either, cause no show should have swearing or implied swearing for kids... dad was a huge fan, though, so it didn’t stop us from watching!

Frankendoodle is probably my favorite Spongebob Episode *of all time*. It's just incredibly cleverly written, probably the most "meta" Spongebob has ever been, the tone is exactly the right mix of "creepy" and "adventurous" and everything about it just works really, *really* well.

Band Geeks is arguably one of the most iconic SpongeBob episodes of all time. I mean, it's right up there with Pizza Delivery, Ripped Pants, No Weenies Allowed, Texas, Frankendoodle, Mimic Madness, Christmas Who, Graveyard Shift, Sailor Mouth, and Chocolate With Nuts.

Ripped Pants is one of the worst s1 episodes in my opinion, an ok episode, just that. Texas is great but not one of the best of SpongeBob. Christmas Who? and Squidville should be here. Chocolate With Nuts is my favorite SpongeBob episode.

I've seen that episode on TV with subtitles many times and every time it gets to the building scene, the subtitles say "Hi, building!" when Spongebob says "I just don't get it!"

I’ll be honest, the only episode I’m not a fan of from Season 3 would be “Grandma’s Kisses.” I just never really found it to be that funny and the ending is a bit of a slap in the face, but I do love the beginning bit with SpongeBob and his grandma. When I rewatched No Free Rides recently, I was caught completely of guard in the scene where Ms. Puff gets into the new boat and makes a balloon animal. You think that she's making something that will help her hotwire the boat or something, but no! The balloon has nothing to do with it and she just turns on the ignition. It's just such a funny and well-timed mislead and I loved it!

I have a good story about the "Shake that bubble butt" line from Bubble Buddy. When I was 2 or so, me and my family were at a fair. Season 8 is a meh season. It is meh in the same way as season 5. There are many really good episodes like Drive-Thru, Mermaid Man Begins, Chum Fricasse, Planet of the Jellyfish, while the bad episodes are really bad.

In my opinion. Band Geeks is the most PERFECT episode not only this season, but in this entire show so far. Not just the memes like the instruments of torture, mayonnaise and white sedan, and especially the fight scene when everyone insults each other. The ending was AMAZING!!! Squidward was nervous that things were gonna fail, but everyone absorbed (no pun intended) everything they learned from band class and Squidward won over Squilliam in a MASSIVE stadium cheering for Squidward and his band! And then the episode ends. Best ending to a SpongeBob episode ever!🤩 This shows Squidward REALLY is a good music instructor after all

Watching this really took me back; I've probably seen many of these episodes a doezn times, and I really agree with the commentary on most of these episodes. It's interesting how some of the sides of the characters that have been grossly over-emphasized in later seasons were in fact present this early, but never to the point where it becomes uncomfortable (well, excepting possibly the way Squidward gets treated in Club Spongebob, but we'll have to see that next time).

Correction to the "Graveyard Shift" fun-fact: Nosferatu is actually something like an archaic Romanian word that is used in reference to vampires and was actually popularized by Bram Stoker himself. The specific "Nosferatu" pictured in that episode is actually Count Orlok, who is indeed a direct ripoff of Count Dracula. I'll never really understand why that joke was in there (maybe for parents?) but I do know that it was so out of place, and Orlok was so legitimately creepy, that I always laughed.

I used to think of Patchy as a fun pirate, but when you mentioned low budget educational cartoons, all I could think of was Candle Cove ~_~ Also, Gary Takes a Bath was banned in the U.K. because of the "Don't Drop The Soap" gag and the "Subliminal Message Girl" (the redhead, cross-eyed girl)

Season 2 was always my favorite season, maybe because my favorite episode (Band Geeks) was in season 2. But I feel like overall it was more consistently funny than any of the others. Season 1 was a bit slow, and still developing the characters, season 3 had a few episodes that were pretty bad, and season 4 through 9 are... seasons 4 through 9. Season 2 was the perfect Spongebob season. (to me anyways)

I love patty hype it is such a underrated episode it's insanely hilarious and all around in my opinion one of my favorite episodes I think it didn't get much air time or something because I have always loved it! Or maybe I'm just crazy.😂 The plot was good and funny the fact that it became a international hit over night and mr krabs getting his best deserts. Ah good old classics.

I watched the season 1 and 2 reviews and for the Christmas episode, patchy was talking about when they first discovered Christmas the only part I think takes place in the present was the segment where we see spongebob and Patrick’s houses so I think Christmas who takes place before jellyfishing Also I mostly agree but I would bump bubble buddy and dumped to good

Another thing you forgot about Procrastination: it is the only season 2 episode (maybe episodes as a whole outside of season 1) that does not use digital ink, but rather traditional cel with much darker lighting than season 1. This only applies to later airings on TV, though, and can be seen in digital ink on (I think) the season 2 DVD and the first 100 episodes DVD.

This is an overall great season of the show. It's the only season in which I have the box set. I watch it all the time. I too originally was confused by some of the production order. For example, I always thought Graveyard Shift and Welcome to the Chum Bucket were season 3 episodes. This was an awesome review. I can't wait for season 3. It has one of my all time favorites "Club Spongebob." I can't wait to see what you say about that one and what is your favorite part.

Actually, when thinking of the alternate endings, I'd think of Squidward or Patrick wishing the Dutchman to explode after eating them and also I remember creating a Dutchman's Ending scene. I didn't exactly know what the Dutchman could wish for creating the transcript so I had to go for the same thing he expressed in Spongebob's ending, wishing the trio into fruits. I remember watching Patrick's ending as but I got it mixed with Spongebob's ending. I don't want to rewatch the endings due to making me sad whenever they showed that the Dutchman ate them, I would usually cry at this scene. But I would rewatch the endings when my heart would stop beating fast when I see footage of the endings and I stop crying at the Dutchman eating them. I need to get over this stuff now. I feel like making a YTP of all of the ending and guess what? I will add the Dutchman exploding in Patrick's ending, Squidward's breakdown in Squidward's ending, and I really don't have that much ideas for Spongebob's ending but when I saw that Squidward punching Spongebob in the face when saying "What can you wish for to make it so we don't get eaten??" I could make when Squidward said "What can you wish for to make it so we don't get eaten??" With Squidward constantly punching Spongebob until Squidward punches through Spongebob.
