What a simple and elegant design. As you were putting the screws in the hook I thought, "Thank goodness he's using slotted screws." And sure enough you made a point to mention how the small details add or subtract from a design. Thank you!

Excellent video per the norm John! Also I just wanted to thank you for all your past 'tong' videos. Taking your advice I bought the 'Ken's Custom Iron' quick tongs set and have been slowly working through them. Between Ken's and your videos I have spent hours watching and re-watching your videos in slo-mo trying to glean every detail. Thank you so much for all your efforts and videos!

Love hook of the week, maybe expanding to similarly useful household objects for variety? Us starting blacksmiths can always use small projects to develop our skills, and helps to have a useful thing too have in the house to remind us to get out too the shop. Drawer handles, kitchen tools, etc.

I only recently came across your channel but I haven't missed an episode since. I love the voice, the look, the presentation... everything. It's like watching an old home improvement or wood working show like This Old House or something. I like all the information you give and you explain the processes involved. Keep it up! Don't change a thing.

Would be great in a barn for holding tack. It would fit a 4x4 or 6x6 post really well. You could even do the same thing out of a section of round pipe to fit on round posts or to beams in log cabins. Or take the same thing and forge the backing plate over a piece of pipe to shape it.

While I do approve ads to run on the videos, I don't have any input as to what those ads might be. So what you see is out of my control. If you are suggesting video creators put time and money into producing videos that help you learn or simply entertain you but then not be compensated for that time, expense and experience, then you should probably quit watching KZbin. But both the comment and the thumbs down are seen by KZbin as audience interaction, so thank you for improving my video statistics.
