Maybe she wouldn't have got all that work done on her face if society and Hollywood would've stopped discrimination against women's age. If they know a woman is in her 30s no matter how beautiful she is then they stop casting them for lead roles. In the music business they look for youth no matter how talented the older person is. Madonna is responsible for her appearance but, women are discriminated against due to ageism. Men and women in general find it difficult to age. People should understand that and have more compassion for people. It's definitely not misogyny like she claims nor is it ageism but I do understand her trying to look younger than she is. She just had too much fillers and I'm sure she regrets it now.

I’m 🇺🇸 and a 46 female. I absolutely loved Madonna back in the day. Saw her in concert on her Blond Ambition tour in L.A., CA. Loved her. She is a legend. I can say, I was shocked when I saw her face. Cringed too bc she was gorgeous at one time. We all age but she has snatched face up so hard that she looks like an alien.

There are many who have disfigured their faces in the vain attempt to look young when in reality they look ridiculous. Growing old gracefully is beautiful and in doing so they remain true icons. Madonna, Cher, Burt Reynolds’s, Kenny Rogers, to name a few, have not done any favors to themselves.

Either Madonna is engaging in wishful thinking - or she’s making a bid at shaming people who are expressing normal reactions to something that is clearly abnormal. Tina Turner, Diana Ross, Barbara Streisand ....they did “golden age sexy” as performers perfectly. No one was turning away from them due to their age, right? See, the difference between them and Madonna is that THEY had the confidence to not try and be perpetually edgy, ground-breaking, or trend-setting. Piers is absolutely right: Madonna’s latest stunt (which was ABSOLUTELY calculated for maximum exposure) comes across as a pathetic bid for attention at a time when her talent isn’t sufficient to garner her some. She’s certainly made THAT crystal clear. How incredibly rude of Madonna to detract from the press deservedly earned by those artists who won Grammys that night. Those who assert she’s narcissistic are spot-on. 🤨

Don't mention Michael Jackson in a vanity quest like Madonna is! He had some real physical issues going on (which were confirmed in his autopsy). Vitiligo and discoid Lupus caused some physical changes which he couldn't control. He also had major damage to his head from the 1984 Pepsi commercial accident that caused 2nd and 3rd degree burns to his scalp. The nose jobs and chin cleft were due to the self esteem issues he had from the emotional abuse from his own father calling his beautiful natural features 'ugly'. Madonna butchered her face purely for vanity and a failed attempt to be 21 forever.

There are many women who aged gracefully and were talented enough to work if they wanted to. Maggie Smith, Judy Dench, Cecily Tyson, Betty White, Tina Turner, Jessica Tandy, Kathy Bates, Helen Mirren and even Meryl Streep who is easily 70. Some of them may have had a bit of work done but they don't look creepily desperate.
