Unfortunately to say this but dark also has killer instinct from thousands of games. Not something you can replicate easy. He can play so lose and wild because he has deep insight into how the game works. It’s not even something Serral has. If dark was a macro god he would be unbeatable.

You are definitely over thinking it. I don't think he has some knowledge that the other pros don't. He does things that the casters calk mistakes and then he generally loses because of them.

Hey PiG- Idk if you'll see this, but this series made me realize how much SC2 storylines I miss out on by not being plugged into like 3 different websites at all times. I had no idea Clem was in Korea! I was thinking- maybe there is a demand for someone like you to do a weekly Shorts on current SC2 storylines/games to watch out for/events like Clem going to Korea? Or the status of the WC qualifiers? Things like that might draw in more viewers who've fallen out of the loop and for me at least it feels like I already have too much Sc2 content to catch up on so I'm inclined to go try to watch older stuff I had bookmarked instead of newer stuff that might be more interesting. Like if people feel like they haven't missed critical news they might be more likely to tune in to ongoing/upcoming events.

Spoiler: Game 1 was textbook. Dark going on the offense hoping clem would go on the defense but clem stayed on the offense. Reminds me of the don frye vs yoshihiro takayama fight. Where both of them said forget defense and just slugged it out, till someone got dropped to the canvas. Love it. GG WP.

Both are attack type, and they know whoever is attacking has the advantage. The moment one of them focus on defense that player will lose

I totally agree that first game, darks queens clustered were pretty bad. He also had a lot of money. Against pro players typically depending on the species, and player, but eco damage early game is huge, when you don't have enough income, and worker production to recoup... That said... Ramps exist for a reason, I think most ramps it is 1.5 queen to two queen spaces.. If he had two queens on the ramp, he would of protected his main, allowing other queens to reenforce. The other queens and drones could naviage to the third.. natural.. and if hte hellions chase they are going into the 4 other queens moving.. His queen count is good... but even a cheap evo + spine crawler cna block the ramp early, and you just open it when needed. Not sure when the building block data works, when its burrowing I think there is a process of pushing units away if their yours and then building block starts...1 queen 1 spine, or 1 queen 1 spore. Early spore at the ramp costs a drone, buildings cost drones. Typically most do two queens per hatch... maybe a floater, and then have two on teh ramp when they move back to defend the main, the two from the nat, go tothe bottom of hte ramp, etc. Yeah totally agree, he wasn't in a losing position at that moment, and he had larva and the means to strike back... but I don't know he should of waited, if he lost 10-12 workers then fine makes sense.. lol He hadn't lost any yet, its only 5 minutes into the game... he cancelled the 3rd cc... which is huge z is still at a mineral lear, allowing him more flexbility. Zerg map control is dependent on a few things, typically lings give vision, but not too much force... mutas can give force and more... I think Dark tapped out al ittle early.. it all depends if he could escape with the drones and mineral walk them away... and get some blocking on the ramp.. ALthough something funny, is that he pre moved thedrones and had money, you cna make a bunker for the drones to hide in out of range with surplus money and hten cancel, lol...

Dropper lords for weak aa, for banneling drops is effective.. or vipers... but vipers aretypically sniped by ghosts... overlords can surive two snipes.
