This UNDERGROUND SPILLWAY Is Full Of ANGRY FISH!!! (She Finally Caught One)

I've fished a lot of weird places, but the underground spillway has to be one of the weirdest... Mom the spillways around me all look the same. Tiny puddle, above ground tube, and limited space. Boo and I set out, with one main goal, get Boo her first darned wiper, and well.. We accomplished that, plus some. PAAA POWWW!!!

Pure Striper are the hardest fighting fish in North America pound for pound. They kill themselves from exhaustion because they fight so hard. You should do a day trip to Texas and catch some. Lake Livingston has Striper and so does lake Texoma. The lake Texoma spillway gets super crowded though from March to November.

Boats are typically no bueno when the wipers are up shallow. For some reason they just shoot out to deeper water and won't come back into an area until boats are gone. Glad you got to catch some, my favorite baits are buck tails and paddle tail swimbaits this time of year. Once your water temps get into the 60s+ you should be able to pull some on topwater. Glad to see Stradic, now we just have to get you to buy a nice rod.

Where I fish at in Nebraska, boaters are the biggest fuck heads, literally constantly making passes 20ft from shore. I've lost alot of tackle cause of them fucks, a few years ago I started takin my snagging rod alot and throwing 6-8 Oz weights at them, it's gotten a little better now 😂😂

I've only hit the money on the whippies once. My ol'man and I got into them over a flooded boat launch. In two weeks we got over 500 fish. 800 is probably more accurate. Every single day we were getting double digits. He hit triples 3 times.

The red river dam below Lake Texoma may be a destination for you guys. I have found sneaking up in there at night with shad imitation topwaters seems to be the bomb. make surte to skedaddle up the bank if the horn blows . (i think most of 'em are pure striper though.)

You two would love the lackawaxen that flows into the upper Delaware out in north east pennsyltuckey you catch ocean run stripers, wallyeye's small mouth large mouth rock bass , buffalo , northern pike, tiger musky ,musky, perch, sun fish , rainbow, brown, brook,tiger, palomino,gold trout, bullhead ,and channel kitties, real ocean run shad and eel all in a small river a few miles long you can catch all these species in a few hours beautiful country you should come visit if you're not a scared of the poconos mt hills and such since you and boo are flat lander's...... great place to fish.....

"Wiper" seems like the best name for a hybrid derived from White & Striped Bass. Here in Florida they call it the "Sunshine Bass". Jusay'n, that name seems to be more about Fla. and less about the Bass 🤔

I'm literally catching bass with them in idaho and the water is 40 degrees. They are heavy, but it's similar to a blade bait. I bet they'd work good for you. They are a bit expensive though which is my only complaint. I know how much you love getting snagged.
