Pikes Peak DiRTy v4 for Assetto

Car is heaps fun but feels a bit like griphax.exe on the front end.
Car: / discord
Mostly minor things adjusted/updated.
* Extra background trees and some roadside mesh nabbed from an anonamous update for v1 found on the web
* Under tree shadows added to nearby Y trees
*Multiple visible mesh holes plugged
*Adjusted multiple texture mappings to hairpins
*Replace/adjust roadside textures/shader settings
*Seperated spectator vehicle lights to avoid headlights projecting from brakes
*Overall colour shades/pallette/saturation adjusted to be closer to IRL
*Grass FX turned way the fk down to again attempt to be closer to IRL
*Adjust distant vista texture mapping and stray normals
*Threw in a new set of cams

This is amazing. (only watched video need to DL it). You nailed so much of this nearly perfect. Any improvements that could be made are probably game engine limited at this point. Thank you, for putting so much time into this iconic track. Now we just need someone to make a few Jeff Zwart Porsche liveries, etc :)

I'm so beyond excited to finally have a high quality version of pikes peak in the game!! Dirt rally was awesome but the car selection for the hillclimb was pitiful. Its been so aggravating watching poliphony digital horde the rights to such a great track and do absolutely nothing with it. Are there any plans on adding spectators at some point? The track itself looks absolutely fantastic, it just feels a little empty not having people on the sidelines watching.

I had a feeling this was coming. I had a 50/50 chance of people wanting it vs complaining its unrealistic. Should be an easy addon for future update.

Depends entirely on the song. Most will throw an add on your video for people not running adblok. Sometimes the video will be blocked in some countries and very rarely just plain blocked everywhere. I just try my luck and see what happens. If you're worried, upload a test video with the song over it and see what happens. Also, don't delete your video editor files until you're sure it worked. Ask me how I know.

Yep, but ill probably look at splitting the existing kn5s in half first to attempt to keep download size smaller when/if it happens.

Stock cams I created for v4 (might work with older versions as the AI line hasn't changed) The set used in the video is called "2023 " and there's also 2023_Low_FOV set. Older Debaeda cams are still there if you preferred those.

I played V3 and V4 tonight in VR. Performance is not as good in V4 in the first half of the map where all the trees are, once up the top it's fine. V3 was smooth all the way through.

Confirmed, v4 works very poorly in vr, while v3 is much better

Probably the distant trees as they were not done in the Kunos preferred method. I'll see what I can do to save them as they do help the visuals a bit.
