I just participated in Denver Tesla Club Pikes Peak drive on 8/31. It was the first event and we had 40 Teslas, 5 Cybertrucks and 1 Rivian R1T turn out. It was an absolute blast but not a race just a casual drive. I hope to meet you in person at the race!

What fabulous episode that was!!! I was glued to the screen watching everything. It was brilliant. This show of yours is getting bloody good, far better than anyone could have thought. Role in the next episode. Oh...and thank you for making it.

Another blockbuster episode Richard, incredible place and great to see the Victorian Tunnel being repurposed in this way. Can’t wait to see the outcome of the the testing and what mods are needed to your existing design. This channel just keeps getting better 👍🏴😎

The Zappa! As soon as I see a thumbnail with this bad boy; I CLICK IT! The best part of these videos has to be Richard's energy and enthusiasm for the cars. Amazing job so far, can't wait for more episodes on this BUG ZAPPA!

Although I am of advanced years I find myself not wanting to use the tunnel for science, just the usual thing juveniles do with ICE vehicles in tunnels. Looks like an amazing facility, fantastic livery on Bug Zappa, looking more like a beetle again.

20:37 - You bet that VW Beetle shape generates lift. In the 60's there was a turbine powered VW Beetle drag car in the US. It did not have a rear wing for down force. On one run it got to 150 MPH or so and the car lifted off of the drag strip, crashed and was destroyed. Lesson Learned there.

Varying layers of speed and car handling improvement. Curious about the front diffuser. Then balancing the front to back relative down forces. Finally the underbody airflow dynamics and drag. Very interesting 3-4 weeks.

Their computers must be really chucking out some data, if it takes WEEKS to process it! What a cool operation. It must be fun to work there! Here's hoping your intuitive grasp of what makes a Beetle quick is borne out in the cold maths calculations of those the computers!

Nice Testing Center, I see the Landrover was gentle to it, but I think the Turntable should be at both ends of Tunnel, speed up the scanning being on a turntable ...

@@davidjulian8536 I was confused by Owner saying @ 3:35 "that Turntable was at far end" but later I see there is a 2nd one, whether it can spin a car in a 360' half a dozen times while it scans exterior, is another question, but not earth changing..

weight translates to grip and even wider tires - the increased wind resistance of down force aerodynamics help the tires when braking
@andgate20002 ай бұрын
I was told wider tyre reduce grip as the the weight per sq in reduces the larger the width. The wider tyre gives a wider track though. Could be wrong though.

Ive seen this place when they do historic and exotics sound recordings in there ... Think Auto union f1 cars and V 16s.. ...you can play them back through your car stereo if your so inclined 😂 For cooling you need low drag aero NACA air scoops and vents.. how you leave the air is as important if not more so than enter it. Small items add up to frills on your curved brick .😉 And dont forget the belly pan... as the area of highest turbulant intereaction between two solid surfaces. And there it is lol 😂...granny, eggs and suction.😁😎
