Hi mira while doing the most of the movements we tried to krep our shoulder blades apart should i try to have these alingments while doing extensions and back movements or it was just for this class i am wondering it ❤

I just revisited this class because I want to try to do two or three upper body videos per week to build more strength. It felt great, and I love the whole opening sequence! I still struggle with keeping my core engaged while lying face down and I'm not sure I understand what it feels like to engage the back extensors, but I'll keep working on it.

Hi Mira, Great exercise! Just a question regarding exercise 20:17. Does the shoulder blades glide lateral or medial and kaudal? Thanks a lot.

Hi Bernd, thanks for watching. The scapulae rotate medially to return towards the anatomical position. I use the cue of 'sliding the scapula towards middle back' as general guidance for the general population in order for them to keep it simple and direct so as to engage the middle trapezius muscles in a back extension movement. The coccyx lengthens towards the feet to allow space in the lumbar region and lower abs engagement. Great Question Bernd!
