That was beautiful. It’s got to be the standard for others to follow, surely! Well thought out, constructed and delivered. Has to be the first Cold & Dark startup tut I have watched delivered in this fashion; it has to be a game changer, for sure! You are to be commended Sir and I am going to keep an eye out for future content whilst sifting through your archive for content I have an interest in. You mentioned photography. I guess you will be aware of Morten Hilmar; a Danish wildlife photographer. He produces content at this level on wildlife photography and again he stands out, a head above his peers with the quality of his content. You are in good company… Thanks

Good evening from the Netherlands Flight Level, Installed the Carenado PC-12 yesterday and thanks to your unparalleled good series 1 to 4 laid a great foundation to fly with this very interesting aircraft. I am very excited and would like to thank you very much for the excellent presentation. I wrote this post using Google Translate.

Hi jackwoud! Thank you very much for commenting. Google Translate worked perfectly. Not a single spelling mistake! I appreciate the effort you took to comment. You will definitely enjoy the PC-12. Please consider a subscription to the channel. Much appreciated. Happy flights and blue skies!

Nice, I really appreciate the way you show clearly WHERE things are ! Just one small minor detail, the Carenado plane loads in with the Fuel Emergency Shutoff Valve handle pulled, it needs to be pushed back down at some point before you move the condition lever before start. There doesn't seem to be an option in the tablet to change this so I guess we're stuck with it.
@TheFlightLevel2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Yes, you are absolutely correct. I will make a note in the description. I had actually recorded a clip to check the Shutoff handles and had planned to incorporate into the video. As I followed the real checklist during the editing, it got missed as the actual checklist does not include checking that both handles are down. Blue skies!

Thank you so much for your videos. They have made it possible for me to learn to fly the PC-12. I have been very frustrated with some of the reviews that have been given on this great aircraft. I think their reviews would have been considerably better had they watched your videos. Carenado has done an excellent job with the PC-12 in my opinion. It is a real pleasure to fly. Maybe at some point Carenado will do as you have done and use videos to illustrate how to fly their planes. Or, maybe refer to your excellent video's!
@TheFlightLevel2 жыл бұрын
Well, thank you very much Charles! Your words are so true. The reviewers not doing their homework and making inaccurate conclusions. The aircraft definitely has a lot to offer. Working on a descent, approach and landing video - the aircraft flys the RNAV approaches to perfection! Carenado should definitely release videos as you mention. So great to hear how you have benefited from this video series - makes everything so worth while on my part. Blue skies and thanks again!

Great video but one thing I can’t understand with the AP if I’m manually flying and engage it with VS say at 500-1000fpm it will just pitch down hard first then go up. Any way around this?
@TheFlightLevel2 жыл бұрын
Hi and thanks for watching. I am not seeing the pitching behaviour you describe. Make sure the plane is in a steady level cruise with AP engaged. Hit the ENG VS button and then press (click) the set button on the right. Use the mouse wheel to dial in increments by hundreds. The plane should respond very gently up or down. I will be doing a video on the BendixKing KMC 321 autopilot in this plane.
@TheFlightLevel2 жыл бұрын
@filmrat Thanks for watching and commenting. Do not use VS on takeoff. Once you reach your climb speed (120-150 KIAS), engage the AP and then select IAS on the autopilot panel. The plane will climb at the airspeed you selected. This video will help kzbin.info/www/bejne/qXmsZYZmasZ_g8U Please do consider a subscription. Working on an autopilot video for this aircraft.
