Pin code reading on a mk5 golf 07 plate

Using vcds and a pin reader we can code in a new key or replace a faulty cluster with a new one. Without the reader there is no chance of getting the code from vw. The only other option is a locksmith or some very expensive software

Engine adaption login code? It will find the security pin code for fitting another ecu thats all

Yes you need to get the pin from the ecu or delete the immobiliser using our delete tool

Connect directly to the cluster and read its pin. You wont be able to do it in the car due to the can gateway being involved

I have a 2006 seat Leon 2.0 tdi BKD. My cluster has gone faulty. If I buy another cluster how can I programme this to my car? Do I not need the pin for the new cluster as well? Am I able to just plug the new cluster into the car then follow the same instructions as this video to get the new pin?

Hi yes you will need the pin from your vehicle and the replacement cluster. You program it with vcds following the instructions on the rosstech website. If you are not sure what you are doing leave it to an auto electrician

No it wont as you need to power up the ecu and you meed much more in-depth equipment like avdi

You don’t need a pin code for that the adaption code will be provided by your software. If it doesn’t buy genuine vcds and do everything easily

Hi, I have a 2007 Rabbit that both the ignition lock cylinder and housing have been replaced on. What do I need to do to program the new key? Is just turning off the immobilizer an option?

Hi your cheapest option is to take the chip out of your old key and insert it in the pick up coil around the barrel then move the coil out of the way. When the ignition is turned on with the new key the immobiliser will see the old programmed key and allow you to start the car

If the original ecu and the cluster are in the car you can just plug into the obd and read it from there. If the ecu or the cluster are replacements you will have to read them on the bench as the gateway will interfere with the reading. If you get stuck email me at [e-mail]

Tried it on a mk 6 ecu as of 01/04/24 and no does not pull pin from an edc17 ecu you need an autel 508 minimum

No if you need to change a cluster you will still need the PIN code
