Me and my father react to a very strange song and find out the true meaning of the song (It may surprise you!!), and realize the misleading meaning of this song. It is super funny and strange and we had fun!!

That was fun watching his mind get blown as he grasps with the "true" meaning of the song! Loved it! Now you want another song with a "twist" meaning? Try "Lola" by the Kinks and see if he gets that one. Thanks again for sharing!!

We will try that one!

Or Rosie by Jackson Browne. That could be an uncomfortable review for the two to do together.

You could tell him what Lola by The Kinks is about or She Bop by Cyndi Lauper, but I feel like he might be too young or at least too embarrassed to put on YT, lol. I'm 58 so my mom wasn't thrilled about me singing "Squeeze Box,' by The Who, Greased Lightening, Afternoon Delight, Torn Between Two Lovers, and Giving The Dog A Bone by AC/DC, and so, so many more that I had no idea what they were about. My 16 yr old granddaughter just found out what Escape was about less than 2 weeks ago and she kept saying, "But I learned it as a little girl from Shrek!"

It is a love song. Sure both we ready to cheat but then they found they the did like the same things and they could escape together. I think it is a beautiful love song. However, the greatest love song ever is "I Don't Want to Know" by Paul Thorn. You have never heard it so give it a listen and tell me I am wrong.

OK I'm late to this one but Ben, the song says that in the end they were looking for each other; they just didn't know it.

So basically the one they were both looking for they already had. :)

Well if the channels name is Viking Author Reactions then the needed next step is "Wardruna and Aurora - Helvegen (Live)" if for some reason you are not already familiar with the band. It's a Norwegian band that bases their music to Norse runes, Völuspá and to other Norse sources. They also use historical instruments. Wardruna describes the song as "Helvegen (here featuring Aurora) is a song about death, dying and remembering those who have passed. About crossing over and about letting go. It is a song about searching for lost songs and old traditions".

I thought for sure you were going to recommend The Scotsman by Seamus Kennedy

Seeing that he is a football fan/player, you should do a reaction with him to the song The Last Game of the Season (A Blind Man in the Bleachers) by David Geddes That would be a good reaction. And if you have never heard it listen together for the first time. Another sports themed song with a twist is Ballad of Eddie Klep - Chuck Brodsky (It is historically correct) And one more The Greatest by Kenny Rogers

Have him listen to the song "Diary" by Bread. Another song with a twist; but a very good song!

This is NOT an example of irony. The road to hell is paved with good intentions. That is an ironic metaphor. This song is allegorical. A simple story about a more complicated story. Old people use to have to carry a dictionary and a library card. Now you have a phone and a search engine. Ask the right questions. That's the mark of intelligence. Q: what's the difference between knowledge, knowing, wisdom, and intelligence?
