Excellent lesson, you should really included a close up of how you hold pick and also direction/angle of attack because youtube videos are really quite small, a small criticism of a largely helpful instructional. Glad to see teachers capable of such quick results.

In all my years of playing, I have never been able to hit a pinch harmonic with my thumb. I remember the first time I hit one accidentally, I somehow brushed the string with the edge of my index finger just above the first knuckle. That’s how I’ve been getting them for almost 40 years now. I’ve actually worn a callous on that spot. I know, it may not be the proper way to do it, but it works for me. I’m weird!
