Finally a pineapple skin recipe not loaded with sugar! Beautiful camera work as well
@KillerSmurfy Жыл бұрын
Just made this now with 2 pineapple skins and used Lemons instead of Limes. Came out fantastic and we canned up 15 pints of it to save for later when someone is sick or has a sore throat. I still have 4 more pineapple skins to think about doing something else with. For now, they are in a ziplock bag in the freezer. Thank you for this recipe.

Yes, I came to that same conclusion. The lime is bitter, and I would rather use lemons to bypass it. I don't think that the limes that they sell in the stores are good limes. They get hard very quickly. So, I need to grow myself a lime tree, lol.
@Grubanny2 жыл бұрын
It would be nice to own a lime tree. I put my limes in the part of the fridge with adjustable humidity control. I find that low humidity keeps them fresh and plump.

Just FYI, regular limes aren’t approved neither are lemons because it destroys melanin. Key limes are approved . I love your videos ❤
@Grubanny2 жыл бұрын
I'm aware of that... I deleted the part were I spoke about it. If you watched the previous upload, you'd have heard me mention it. I couldn't find key limes this time around. This is now considered a vegan recipe, so it's all good.

Where are pineapples considered acid instead of alkaline? I have acidic hormones due to decades of sleep deprivation (special needs children) and pineapple smoothies or juice calms my inflammation
