This is why at MOST mechanics, when you bring in an intermittent problem, you leave 2 months later with an $1800 bill and the problem is still there, then you start to weigh how much is this car worth when considering doing it all over again at another mechanic. God bless you Ivan. Your love for this stuff is a gift to mankind.

I once have a brand new 2011 ford fiesta 1.6L with PowerSHIT tranny. It is truly a piece of SHIT of a car. Sold it at 8 years old, 27,000km only. In bad creeping traffic jam this dual clutch automated manual tranny is pure garbage. Steering rack recalled ...yes. Within 20,000km tranny clutch bearing went bad, tranny overheated on flat road. Rear left door lock broken inside, its mechanism and door will open itself when i enter a right hand corner..dugghhh, the is actually a recall on the door locking mechanism after that like 2 years later. Hvac heater hose from engine to heater core torn at 7th year under 25,000km, nearly warping my cylinder head from overheating. No actual coolant gauge. Front oxygen sensor went bad under 25,000km 7 year old. At 8th year 27,000km ABS controller intermittent DTC, not from wheel sensors but internal controller. I sold the car at 8th year. Dang! I feel right at home - so much like my experiences on other things. Most recently, I had 2 machines giving different fault codes when swapped out. Turned out there was a fault outside the machine, and one machine had shorted traces on a circuit board. I just happened to troubleshoot the external fault with the good machine installed, and stopped that code. Then I was able to see that the other machine still gave its code when installed, and repaired the circuit board. It was quite difficult to accept that there were 2 problems. On vehicles, I think there is often a tendency to put off repairs, and more problems accumulate, further clouding the troubleshooting process. I think you will get this Ford sorted out.
@RJTC13 сағат бұрын
Really weird problems! The only consistent thing on the diagnostic displays seems to be the MAP reading high and the fuel trims go crazy simultaneously. I'd try and figure the cause of that. Edit - As of the end of this video, my thought is still that it is breathing its own exhaust at times; the total oxygen % in the intake drops, making it over-rich for the intake volume / pressure when that happens, so it's suddenly far too rich and has to take fuel away.

Not particularly related to this episode but those wide swings at the rail pressure sensor... Data isn't always fast enough to fully catch what's going on but the connector pins get terminal fretting. When the sensor gets a glitch in its 5v reference the signal line goes high but then 100ms later it pulls right to ground before working normally. Access the signal line away from the sensor as disturbing it will temporarily clear the fault. Sometimes the glitch is too fast for the time window of code setting criteria to flag a circuit low or high fault. We see this a lot on the DV6 series PSA diesel used in the Connect and many other Ford, Peugeot , Citroen and Volvo in Europe GDI rail pressure sensor probably identical part number

I've always changed my own oil, and I'm still in the habit of doing it every 3000 miles or so because I grew up when everything was pure dinosaur goo. Sometimes I let it go to 6k because it's synthetic now. Some people say I'm wasting money, but I can do it myself for $30 and 30 minutes, and that's the cost of a half tank of gas for my F150. Seems cheap in comparison to engine problems.

How about using Valvoline Restore and Protect? Soaking the solenoid in carb cleaner to dissolve gunk inside the solenoid?
