Why does my over budget bar show N/A instead of what the over budget number is?

Hi Thomas, this is interesting. Make sure that in the calculations, you don't set the condition to simply show NA, but to be the function NA(). This way, the respective bar won't be shown at all and you shouldn't get a NA label.

@@Pinexl I have NA() in both spots.

Hi Thomas, try this - click on the chart > go to Select Data > Hidden and Empty Cells and select the option Show # N/A as an empty cell. This should get rid of it. Keep in mind that the availability of this function depends on your Excel version.

@@Pinexl That didn't work either. I've tried to create this many times by following your video but N/A still shows up instead of the dollar amount. Any other suggestions why?

@@tommyjohnson5274 Did you download the file from the site? Does it show the NA there? Still, I think I found a workaround. Instead of having NA() in the formula, set it to zero. Then, go to Format Data Labels menu, scroll down to Number and change the format to Custom. In the Type field write #"" and click Add. This will remove the zeros and will leave only the right data label. We have shown this technique in another video around the 6:15 mark: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Zpekp3lud89sr5o Let me know if this helps!
