When the chords change at the outro of this song, it's like the end of the best vacation you've ever had, hanging around pools and beaches with your girl and your best friends, sailing on boats and partying and watching sunsets every day in perfect weather, feeling as if the summer would go on forever, and suddenly it's over and everyone has to go back to real life and some of you might not ever see each other again and you wish you could just stay in that dream world forever, or at least for a while longer.

Any Colour You Like is a perfect example of Gilmour’s soloing genius. That first unison bend he does on the 13th fret of the B with the 10th fret of the B draw you in you expect him to then go do the 16th and 13th or a higher bend but he stays on the original bend then a few beats later goes to the 16th. Only Gilmour would think to do that

Yes, if I remember rightly Pink Floyd had just agreed to appear at Live8 and I got the tickets by texting the number Live8 gave out. I texted three times and luckily I was selected. I remember on the night before Pink Floyd took to the stage, Bob Geldoff said that the underground wasn’t staying open so he advised attendees if they had a difficult journey to leave early. There was NO WAY I was going to miss Pink Floyd, even if it meant having to sleep in Hyde Park. All was good though, when Pink Floyd finished I made my way home via the tube. It was an amazing day; one of those days you wish you could freeze time. 😀🎸

Well, that was an out of body experience! When it started I thought "I really must splash out and buy the boxset to listen to in the car." By the time it finished, I knew there was no way I could do that - it was all I could do to remember to breathe, there's no chance I'd even notice the road let alone concentrate on it. Floyd albums should come with a "Sit your arse down until we've finished" warning.
