About 7 months ago, after a lifetime (54yrs) of struggling with and trying to hide and mask mental health issues and not liking who I am I finally couldn't take it anymore and suffered a complete nervous breakdown, it was the most profoundly awful thing I've ever experienced, 24/7 unimaginable terror anxiety and a sadness I can't put into words. For several weeks I could barely function as a person, I isolated in my home and I listened to this song over and over crying like I was a child again, it was like Dave Gilmour wrote the song for me and about me. I'm better now thankfully I'm finding my way out of it.

WOWWWWWWW!!!! There is NOBODY in this world I’d rather listen to playing guitar than David Gilmour! That was FANTASTIC! That wasn’t just music flowing thru and coming out of Dave’s guitar, that was RAW EMOTION. “Sorrow” is one of Pink Floyd’s FINEST works both musically and lyrically. You FEEL it as much as hear it! It plumbs the depths and takes you to a place of sorrow and loss... a place of coldness, hopelessness, despair. The WAILS of that guitar are poignant and pitiful as real SORROW seems to be wrung from its very core. Only David Gilmour can conjure or extract that level of raw emotion from a set of strings stretched across that instrument’s body. I am both wrung out and exhilarated after hearing this MASTERFUL performance. And Nick working his magic on that drum set and Richard on the keyboard were the PERFECT accompaniment indeed! I’ve got to listen to this one again... and again...

Yeah there’s more treble for sure. Pulse sound quality isn’t as good as delicate sound of thunder. Not sure why

Yeah, from The Later Years Pulse come with two soundtracks, PCM and Dolby 5.1; and to be honest I don't like so much the sound neither of both, that was one of the points on doing this one as well. And regarding DSOT, well, is better than Pulse but still sounds so much compressed, it has a lot of make up with it's post-processing. Cheers!

Oh so glad to read that my friend, specially about the audio. You'll see, in all these works the audio part is something I take with special careful, I make my audio edit and mix in a PC with a simulated 7.1 system (really 5.1), and after upload a dummie video here to testing again from other different audio devices to find the EQ that works average better in all of them, so is a pretty complex and messy thing, so reading that the sound was good for you is really great to know. So happy you've enjoyed it and thanks for the words!

Recien lo termino de escuchar, TRE MEN DO... Es como dice uno de tus seguidores, es el segundo mejor solo logrado, y no es el primero porque confortably tiene mucha historia y una carga emocional como pocas canciones en la historia. Pero bolooo, el final del tema es un verdadero terremoto, sabes lo que habrá sido estar ahí, temblaria todo. La euforia de la audiencia lo dice todo en el final!!! Pporque carajo no nacimos en esa época porque no trajo esa gira al país, que broncaaaaa lo que nos perdimos jejeje Sin palabras

Es verdad Rodri, pero ojo que el sonido ambiente y el público se lo agrego yo en la mezcla, (esto al ser de soundboard no tiene casi ambiente, salvo lo que se filtra por los mics de los músicos), y yo ademá de agregárselo, se lo enfatizo siempre y bastante; en europa son bastante frios en ese aspecto pero a mí personalmente el efecto gente me emociona un monton, como una parte más de cada canción. Por eso, disfrutá mis remasters pero acordate que ese detalle uno de los efectos que le meto yo para inyectarle fuerza. Abrazo!

If fact it isn't rare at all, there's a lot of authors that first write the lyrics and after the music adapted to it, both are pretty common. Even myself used to have a notepad saved from my adolescence with dozens of lyrics saved for potential songs. Also in my place used to be common (in the 80's and 90's) to send your favourite musicians your lyrics for they to use them, and in some cases they eventually reach any album.

i also copied the soundtrack onto casette and played it to death in my car for years and because its ingrained in my head i can clearly hear the edits in other productions
