Pinkertons are excellent! I try to let them hang until June if possible when they are very oily.

@@rossisbonsaiandavocados5785 Thx. Finally getting fruit from other than Hass/Bacon, on others: just had first Jan Boyce, and have fruits on Wurtz, Lamb, Ettinger, Fuerte, GEM, Pinkerton, and Reed. Like you I started about 6 years ago....and killed a lot before learning. Hope it's a very good year for you.

Unbelievable.. we need to see picture of that fungicide, the fertilizer you use and the timing for that 🥑

Hi OG thank you. The ideal is to apply the Trichoderma fungicide when planting a new tree i only recently descovered it and mixed 40g to 10L water and do a drench around the existing root system attached a link where i show it and use it planting a little Lamb tree. kzbin.info/www/bejne/a16ng4CNoLWIbtU

Beautiful tree indeed, I can’t believe it’s grown so much.. I’m really impressed Ros, you seem to have found the perfect formula. I came across the Trichoderma in liquid form so I’m just wondering if it would have the same effect as the powdered one🤔

Hi Cedric. Thank you! I did not know it is availavle in liquid form would be interesting to know what your experiance with it will be... think it will work just fine. Good luck to you :)

Thanks Ros, I will keep you posted on the results. I will use it on one of my trees that I planted about 2 months ago, it had some black roots on the one side like I saw on your previous video of the Lamb hass that you were planting, I believe it was caused by the the sun when they’re in the plastic sleeves in the nursery.

Great video! Could you please tell us what fungus cure you've used to get these amazing results! Could you show a link to Amazon or the name of that product? Thank you 🙏🙏

Hi There. Thank you. I am in South africa and do not have access to Amazon. But it is globally available as most the studies on it was performed in the US... it is called Trichoderma Harzianum strain T-22. It has been a absolute day and night game changer in growimg avocados for me. All the best.

This is gorgeous! Thanks for sharing- I have a small one I planted last July. I cannot wait to get some fruit. I heard that it depends on a type B avocado tree nearby for fruitng. Is that true?
@rossisbonsaiandavocados57852 жыл бұрын
Hi! Thank you! ;) Pinkerton is A type and polinates itself rather well and not nescesary for B. but it helps to have a B around like a Zutano etc the more pollen around flowering season the better. Is there other avocado trees in the neighberhood in close proximity? That also helps. I cant wait for you to pick your first fruit! Good luck.

Great! You should not have any problems then. You have a nice tropical and maritime climate just make sure you protect from the wind.. your country is great for growing most Avovados.

The fruit growing really low looks different Pinkerton is bumpy not smooth maybe its zutano from the rootstock? are you sure its not fruit from root stock below the graft?
@rossisbonsaiandavocados57852 жыл бұрын
Hi. The fruits are still young and i will harvest them in 8 months time around Sept. Will have a solid idea then when ripened and cut open, the growth are all well above the origenal graft union, gauging from the flowers and the tocco shape leaves and it being so dwarfed after 5 years it looks like Pinkerton but i agree fruits look different, the leaves attached to branches that holds the fruits not Zutano type leaves but Pinkerton shaped... I will do future videos to see how it evolves :)
