It's so hard to believe that the album is 50 years old! I was 13 when it was released. It really stood the test of time and nobody can get bored of it.Every song moves into the next one and the soundscapes are really freaky and they're highly listenable! The last song Great Gig In The Sky was sung by a British girl named Claire Tory. Everyone thought it was a black girl singer but it wasn't ! Allan Parsons brought her in the studio and she did it in one take only!🇨🇦🎸🍁

I will second the criticism in the comments, this box should've had all what the Immersion box had, including the vinyl, and more than anything else: a new remix treatment as the latest ones like Animals. I suppose a vinyl solo release will come out, but it will be just the remaster and probably the same James Guthrie one I already have so it doesn't entice me to buy it again just for a fancy sticker.

You can get the live album on its own. The vinyl version is edited so that it fits onto the LP - both "Money" and "Any Colour You Like" aren't as long on the LP as on the CD.

Went through 4 vinyl discs from excessive plays before the CD era. It was (obviously) the very first CD in what became a vast library. It took many years (and $$) to replace all of my vinyl. But the sound quality and clarity of this album (along with the cycle of life themes) makes it utterly timeless. I must own this collection!

Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals, and The Wall albums need to be listened to as one piece of music. I wish the albums would be released on CD with 2 tracks and The Wall as 4 tracks to keep it true to the original album listening experience with no breaks between the songs as the songs flow together.

Compared to the immersion box set, this is a little disappointing. Where is the 1974 Quad mix, where is the content from the sixth disc from the immersion box set? You should have gone all out for the 50th anniversary. Oh, and most people want either only vinyl or only CD, not both.

I don’t have the immersion box set either, but even I can see that this was botched. The pricing is absolutely obscene for less than what the immersion set comes with and there should absolutely be cheaper CD-only and LP-only options

Yes, you are right. But the main fault here lies with Gilmour. Because he is completely unreasonable in his position. He turned out to be completely unaware of what is really happening in Ukraine and who really stubbornly provoked this conflict since 2014. Even Mason said in September that he no longer wants to fight Russia. It's obvious that David just dragged Nick into recording this embarrassing April single.

It looks nice, but I can't help the feeling that the price point was fixed first and then the contents were somehow decided to justify that... And this is coming from someone who considers Dark Side of the Moon one of the best albums of all time. The Immersion box set in 2011 was a better package IMHO. I'm glad I could get my faulty blu-ray replaced.
