Another Brick in the Wall (Parts 1, 2 & 3) - 2011 Remaster
Album: The Wall CD1 (1979)
Another Brick In The Wall - Part 1: 00:00
The Happiest Days Of Our Lives: 03:11
Another Brick In The Wall - Part 2: 05:02
Another Brick In The Wall - Part 3: 09:01
Lyrics:
Part 1:
Daddy's flown across the ocean
Leaving just a memory
Snapshot in the family album
Daddy what else did you leave for me?
Daddy, what'd'ja leave behind for me?!?
All in all it was just a brick in the wall.
All in all it was all just bricks in the wall.
You! Yes, you! Stand still laddy!
Part 2:
We don't need no education
We dont need no thought control
No dark sarcasm in the classroom
Teachers leave them kids alone
Hey! Teachers! Leave them kids alone!
All in all it's just another brick in the wall.
All in all you're just another brick in the wall.
We don't need no education
We dont need no thought control
No dark sarcasm in the classroom
Teachers leave them kids alone
Hey! Teachers! Leave them kids alone!
All in all it's just another brick in the wall.
All in all you're just another brick in the wall.
"Wrong, Do it again!"
"If you don't eat yer meat, you can't have any pudding. How can you
have any pudding if you don't eat yer meat?"
"You! Yes, you behind the bikesheds, stand still laddy!"
Part 3:
I don't need no arms around me
And I dont need no drugs to calm me.
I have seen the writing on the wall.
Don't think I need anything at all.
No! Don't think I'll need anything at all.
All in all it was all just bricks in the wall.
All in all you were all just bricks in the wall.

Music isn't like sports, there is no singular winner or best, doping is allowed, and we're all richer people thanks to these great artists. The only losers are the pretenders, the frauds and charlatans who feign talent and the idiots who fall for the deception. Pink Floyd is one of the greatest bands ever, for sure. edit: I just reread your comment and now I see that I didn't correct you as I thought, I just said the same thing in more words, ha ha ha. True Dat! Lol many great songs tell you that story, like you said cooler when you know what there talking about, I think if you try and figure out what that artist is trying to say with the song! You will find that story! Thats why music will always be insane to me! Lyrics! And the ways they try and tell that story whatever it may be! Some of them amaze me to this day!

The first time I saw the movie "The Wall", a friend of mine rented it, and we watched it at his apartment, and jammed a little Floyd on guitar afterward. He had never seen the movie before either, I don't think. I went back to his place a few weeks later and he had SHAVED OFF HIS EYEBROWS! (like Pink did in the movie.) That's some kind of "fan dedication", i think.

I also live in Queens but work in Manhattan so the commute is always hot, however the subway cars are air conditioned. This Summer has been shit bro, it’s been humor, murky, sticky, and the opposite of the beautiful weather we’re used to having. But other than the weather my state is almost full fascist, however, with the resignation of our disgraced Governor maybe things will begin to change. Our Governor botched the covid response, placed bullshit lockdowns like simultaneously putting elders in nursing homes with very high numbers of covid patients. The result i’m sure you can predict. +Kennedy640 Yes. I smile every time I hear that part. I have a small mental list of specific parts of songs that I really like. This is one, as well as the guitar solo in Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen, and the one in Time by David Bowie -- there is also the ending of Crimson and Clover by Tommy James and The Shondells, as well as the first transition in Joan Jett's version. And the quieter, calm bridge in Lola by the Kinks (hell, pretty much every bridge Ray Davies ever did is great) -- and there is much more that I can't think of. But, I think I have wasting your time.
