No way that Honda has 600hp. He didn't start with slicks because they cause Honda transmissions to go out quick. I use to run in nopi nationals and threw trans all the time. Then I grew up and quit driving Honda's (imports). The kid looked like it was his first time on a track.

Well the stock engines Honda puts out are only good for like 400 horses anyways. Trans likely can't even handle that much. I'm skeptical on just how much boost the stock manifold would handle before blowing up. If he didn't show up with street tires for whatever reason that would have been 3+ cars gained alone.

Imports do beat domestics here and there under certain conditions. However more often a import just isn't gonna do it. The lack of torque struggles on track. HP doesn't get ya down a track. Torque does.

If torque was as important as you claim, why doesn't a 400hp diesel blow the doors off a 400hp gas truck? A lack of torque is easily made up for with gearing. Anybody that claims torque is more important than horsepower in a drag race has no idea what they're talking about

@@jridenour31 there is more than just torque to consider. Its just one big piece of the puzzle. Hp, Weight, gearing, rpms, tire size. All matter. If a 3000 pound 400hp v8 races against a 1500 pound 400hp Honda, the v8 will normally have more torque and probably beat the Honda in 1/8 mile, 1/4 mile that Honda will probably be in front. Diesels weigh a lot so for drag racing they will always seem slow for Thier power but make the same HP has motor truck weigh the same and it will be a huge anchor.

Because it's not nearly as quick (even on slicks) as some of these comments are saying. pretty much all tracks require a 5 point harness when your car is capable of exceeding a 11.99 or better time. Unless someone thinks this was the first time this car ever saw a track, and only raced on the street then it's obvious this isn't a 10 or 9 second capable car like some comments are suggesting.
