'Don't wait until you're "ready" to get married...don't wait until you're "ready" to have kids.' YES. This is beautiful, and so true! But I know it scares the heck out of young people when they hear it. LOL. Celebrating 21 years this June with my husband and our 10 children are a living testimony to the lovely things that happen when you just jump right in full of love and hope. "Be not afraid," young couples!

I agree but 50% of the men under 25 reading this will get divorced, have a porn addiction, and be over 30k in debt before owning a home. They have a reason to be scared and it will not work out for many of them.

I feel we as Catholics need more people talking about their marriages positively like this, whether on or offline, especially to encourage the youth. Really appreciate y'all's past videos on marriage and dating as well, as I've been strategically trying to find and watch positive Catholic content on marriage to condition myself not to fear it or have negative bias against it (I grew up in dysfunction, isolation, and maternal abuse, so I never saw positive models of marriage or motherhood). Even though I've recently begun investigating consecrated forms of life more closely and believe that perhaps marriage is not my path, I know that many saints, especially St. Ignatius of Loyola, stress that holy indifference to all the vocational states is wise, so I'm trying my best to attain that and reframe my views on marriage.

I think it’s cool that they have different moments that were meaningful to them. I think it would be unusual (if cute) their favorite dates were the same thing but they each had their different timeline to growing closer together and different moments that were especially meaningful to them. I bet Matt doesn’t even remember that moment as strongly as that moment when Cam felt like they were the only two people in the world

This was such a fun video. I genuinely laughed out loud at some parts and the editing surely helped with that! But during Cameron's last segment, around the time of 15:43 when she speaks about not being ready and still going for it, really trusting in God by going into the unknown seemingly "unprepared", my eyes welled up with tears. Long story short; My heart yearns nothing more than that... I want to be "unprepared". I want to be unprepared and marry the woman whom I love, entirely at God's mercy (love). I want to do all that is asked of me as a man of God and give all of myself and break down the barriers which Matt spoke about at the end. I know that that is love and I know that is the beauty which I've been created to long for and desire. Oh how I pray that God prepares me well for marriage and makes me patient with the process because it is a heart-wrenching, yet even more beautiful pain. Mary and Joseph, pray for us

Due to some mental health situations and a couple major physical medical things that came up, our marriage is in a murky spot. I almost really lost her due to the medical crisis she had. I fear we may lose this marriage if there isn't a ton of grace and a miracle or two.

Great advice from Cameron!! Ive bern sharing with friends that same advice on not waiting for the perfect time to get married/have kids. My husband and I are going through the "being poor together" phase and I am honestly so grateful for this season, for the same reasons Cameron mentioned. Im not saying everyone has to have little money when they first get married 😅just not to let yourself fall into the traps of looking for reasons not to marry the person you love. People don't tend to listen to me but I've only been married two and a half years. Now we have a precious daughter and a beautiful life. God has been so good to us and brought us through so much together. Glory to Jesus Christ ❤️ Happy anniversary Matt and Cameron and thanks for this video! It was fun and filled with good nugets of wisdom. Y'all honestly have the best marriage advice I've yet heard and have been a blessing to my husband and me.

Ive been married for 2 and a half years now. Im 27. And your closing remarks really resonated with my own experience with marriage. (Wow I can't believe Im a husband...still seems wild). I loooove the "becoming friends". That is my ideal courtship/relationship. That established friendship and then we go from there. It's so hard to communicate that w/ guys now. I tell any interested guy that & they think I'm putting them in the "friendzone" for them to never leave But you both reminded me that the right Godly man will be on the same page as me!
@Cklert Жыл бұрын
I'm gonna be honest, us guys are very blunt. We like straight answers. When we hear 'friend' from a woman we're interested in, we think that they'll never be attracted or into us. It's very one-sided. We're dumb like that. I'm very much open to the idea of two people who have a spark of attraction for each other, but aren't exactly sure if they want to be in a relationship with each other until they know the person better as a friend.

What are the rules on kissing before marriage?
@anzot6903 Жыл бұрын
Seeking or putting oneself in the near occasion of sexual arousal outside the context of a licit marital act (sex in marriage) is mortally sinful. So passionate kissing is basically off the table according to Ligouri and Aquinas. Sweet, quick kissing will depend on the individuals involved.
@SuperKripke Жыл бұрын
@@anzot6903 I'm guessing some mortal sins are up to interpretation then and that it conveniently falls on the believer if they want to do the act or not. It's a shame that lgbt folks don't have that privilege.
