Very nice progress with your birb! I've been researching different parrots lately, thinking about a green cheek conure or bronze wing pionus as a first eventually. Just found your videos :)

@@lolicortes1072 Yeah Asperilagosis is a horrible disease and most babies don't survive it. He sounds so sweet, I'm so sorry you lost him to that illness :'( Quaffle makes a huge variety of noises and sounds but doesn't say any specific words.

@@PionusTales yo he escuchado a Pionus Maximiliano hablando pero en un senil no lo sé pero bueno no sé cuántos años tiene el tuyo, pero nunca es tarde ja ja ja ja ja A mi me gusta que hablen entonces les dedico un tiempo hablarles la misma palabra hasta que lo aprende tengo un periquito macho que habla muchísimo y dice oraciones enteras son muy graciosos también 😘😘

@@lolicortes1072 Maximillian are known to be more likely to talk or mimic compared to the other Pionus species. It's usually in their first year they learn to speak. Quaffle was already passed that age when I got her. Unfortunately no bird is guaranteed to speak regardless of species. I've used the same words with Quaffle every day and she still doesn't mimic them. Some birds just don't ever learn to speak.

What are you using as a reward to train quaffle? Luna just doesn't seem to be motivated at all 😅

Quaffle is addicted to almonds and pine nuts. They're her 2 fave treats. We cut the pine nuts in half and chop the almonds into 16ths so they're the same size as half a pine nut.
