I'm building this saw for racing and there is still lots of work left to do.
My apologies for the poor demo of actual cutting. I have a good chunk of wood on the way... some time soon, so more to come. It's set up with a very hungry .404 8 tooth, wood is cured black walnut. I do offer my services to the public.

Finally someone in a video who knows how to make adjustments and tune a saw. The restrictive muffler was replaced with a much higher flowing muffler. Adjustments were made to the carburetor to compensate the change. The operators on the other videos didnt make any adjustments to their saws, resulting in very poor performance. We have Stihl and Farmertec saws. Our store bought Stihl MS660 can not keep up with our home built Farmertec MS660. This person made the adjuments and now has a fabulous running saw.

I was running this saw for about 2 hours at about a 30-50% duty cycle kzbin.infoUgkxfQm1wmg0ItKDLavxj1nXtQY9HP7EF504 and it did a great job. I used the lever for the built in sharpener to clear chip buildup out more than to actually sharpen the chain. It managed to cut some hardwood stumps much larger than it's size without bothering the neighbors with hours of 2 stroke noise.

If only it was a reed valve/case induction motor, most chainsaws are piston port induction. I prefer reed intake.
