Keep pumping up Peter Pan. He needs a hug too. DanielSon deserves a big raise on his 1st anniversary. He’s doing a fantastic job. And of course, so is the other Mike that keeps churning out the work every day quietly.

Peter is an asset, good onya for apologizing and making it up to him. Blue collar trades can be rough around the edges and we all have to apologize and hug it out every now and again.

Agree 150%. I used to be field supervisor for Warner Cable Tv. Worked 7 days a week, 100 hours a week. I loved my job! When I hired new techs I used to always tell them if you can't come to work and have fun and enjoy yourself, I don't need you. I had the best techs in the company! I loved my guys and miss them everyday!!

You're a great boss Mikey Pipes. Nothing wrong with a little "in the field" banter. Younger generation need to learn to not take every little comment or tough situation to heart. Just makes you a stronger individual in the long run. Great Job Peter Pan and keep up the excellent work to everyone. God Bless

Love Bosch!!! Testo is coming out with the new 560i refrigerant scale with intelligent valve. You should get it. It can charge your system to subcooling or superheat or just weight and after you select which method you want you literally don’t have to do anything.

"Embrace the technology " never heard of the wiper but in theory sounds like it will help scrub the gunk out with a solvent. If its not to expensive of course.
@yomomma90702 жыл бұрын
Never used the wiper. I've always used the pro flush kit with denatured alcohol. It's a ton cheaper cleans great and evaporates quickly.

A little hazing is a building trades ritual. Its probably the best thing for these young kids nowadays because their parents pamper the shit out of them and they need to be taught that life is tuff and not everyone is going to be nice to them. And they need to learn to take in stride and laugh about it. Its called ball breakin!

Only thing I would do differently is not take off the micron gauge before dumping the charge. I leave it on then after I have positive pressure take it off and shut it off the gauge put alcohol drops in the gauge shake it up and then shake out the alcohol toss it on your vacuum pump and then let it rip for 10 minutes and it’s good to go no issues with the gauge and still reads accurate after 2 years. Been installing Bosch since the og with the Mitsubishi compressor love Bosch.

I consider myself extremely lucky. I have a strange fascination with vacuum cleaners, and I collect them, there are actually quite a few of us who do, if you can believe it... But my favorite type of vacuum has always been a central vac system. They're just so different from the portable type. I'm lucky because you can actually make money both installing and repairing these things, and I actually love doing it. To me its easy, and actually fun to do. I basically get paid to do something that I would happily do in my spare time just for the fun of it!

The pipe wiper is the shit! Beats using pro flush and making a mess, grab a couple pigs and blast away!!! Just make sure to ream out the pipe at the end. Hilmor is coming out with one
@tphvac872 жыл бұрын
I’ve heard of that line set flushing tool but never have used it, supposed to be pretty good tho, I believe it’s made by hilmor and called a “pig” not sure but that’s what Bryan Orr calls them anyways, very good technician in the trade!!
@compactc92 жыл бұрын
I've always heard of those pipe cleaning things referred to as pigs as well, regardless of what type of system they're in.

If you're looking into the wiper you also have to check out the hilmor linset cleaning tool. They're both similar but I think the hilmor has the slight edge.

Tru Blu is the only company that has 3/4" hoses I change my orings every season.make sure you check your micron gauge make sure it's off. Hold the power button down and see if the screen comes up good or soon that will tell you it needs to be calibrated . You would need to put it in the freezer follow directions in the manual

If the compressor works, just reclaim to the condenser. Save time. And reclaim it back at the shop into the r22 reclaim recycle tank. Not the junker tank. Granted the recycler would benefit. But if you have a set tank for 410a, r22 recycling. It pays for itself in the long run. Never heard of a wiper. I always replace my line sets. Especially switching from 22 to 410.

Great videos, but no crimp-master-pro joinery for my house..... thread the pipe like a plumber! Embracing technology is fine for YOUR house, but what if crimped joinery from those lil o rings drying up result in failures; I envision another PVC or aluminum wire fiasco. ALA NAVIEN ? OR, Crimpies may turn out to be the best advance in joinery ever. Who knows? I spoke to multiple plumber clients for their opinion. Most are guardedly optimistic on crimped copper joints for domestic water, but they were a bit leery on steam and gas. Could be we are all a bunch of ole fart'es. Domestic potable water lines, without the soldering contamination that has been shown to cause turbulence, and deterioration near the joint is a plus. My house, my pipes ! Your message on loving what you do is essential to mental health. If you don't have passion in your work, your soul dies for 8 hours each day..... Work should be mostly fun.

Hilmor makes the tool for cleaning lines. Part number HLC 007. The sponge thing I think is called the pig. Its reusable from what i read. One more thing I rarely replace line sets, just clean them out with nitrogen. Now don`t get me wrong if there are serious issues I will repipe. I read more than once that flush stuff can cause issues. The Hilmor tool I would use.
