Mikey, when you read C2 on the panel, the F600 was the condenser fan motor Cfm followed by A # which is the outdoor ambient. It was written right where your were looking and reading for C2. worked on lots of Lennox units like this. Great explanation as well!

Can’t tell you how many units I’ve gone up to at my new company where people just apparently don’t give a rats ass and the caps are just finger tight. It takes two seconds.. but then again there’s no quality control here. I saw another company’s service sticker on a unit yesterday and was blown away by their quality. Every data point you could think of was written down on it.

Well I am pretty sure that the systems factory charge is 192.8 oz but I’m not really sure what the question you asked for us to answer since there is no target on the panel for sub cooling. That is a suggestion someone needs to make to Lennox for hvac techs.

Only the front panel was able to open all the way and it was already easy enough to access without removing it. The other panels had no room to open all the way this making it harder to lift and remove maybe you didn't notice. 🤷‍♂️

Lennox is usually low subcooling, and they use the approach method for charging. Fuck Lennox, Bosch and Trane/American standard and Goodman/Daikin are really only ones out there that are good. But I mean they all break and keep us going.GO Bosch !

Hi Mike, I respect you opinion. I'm building a home and the three bidders each proposed using forced hot air Bryant gas furnace and Bryant AC, Ruud forced hot air furnace and ac units, and Rheem forced hot air furnace and ac units. I'm not experienced to make the call, and I don't know the builders so its buyer beware. Any input would really be great. Also they are all quoting Navien tankless water heater? Thanks in advance for your input.

Ruud and Rheem is the same just different trade names, more important than the trade names would be the company who is going to install and service the equipment after the install. I would think if all the names have the same SEER and AFUE ratings it would not make much of a difference on what brand. If i am reading the info correctly you have 3 different company's bidding on the job , hopefully you can find out some info on the reputation of the 3 and make the best decision based on that, get in writing how the system is going to be installed. Good luck I used to bid new construction jobs and not everyone installs the same and its different on what part of the country your living in as well.

Since R410A is a blended refrigerant, you are not supposed to just add refrigerant to a leaking system. You should recover the remaining refrigerant, fix the leak & then weigh in the proper charge. What you did here is illegal.

410a is near azeotropic. Topping off is perfectly acceptable. Modern refrigeration and air conditioning instructs on the same. This practice is done for supermarket refrigeration too. If you have a rack that is down 50# with a total charge of 500#, you are not gonna recover the remainder of the charge and recharge it with virgin refrigerant. The temperature glide would be negligible.
