Episode 5 of Daniel goes insane. (He also randomly cosplays as Hancock for a bit) Denial 5:33 Murderous intent: 5:36 Self awareness?: 6:09 (This is also a social commentary on how despite his neighbors hearing his madness they do nothing to help him, we truly live in a society) Daniel continues to talk to someone that isn’t there: 7:27 (Known as pips) Daniel meets a fellow madman, someone so mad it even overwhelms him 8:22 (New rival?) The space boy one is a webtoon i think. I read it a long time ago when it had ~100 chapters. It's basically about a girl whose family is sent back to earth (because her father lost his job) while being in cryogenic sleep. She has to adjust to the school there and meets a weird boy. She tackles problems there while struggling to keep up with friends from her previous planet who are older and married now while she is still in school. (Wrote as much as i could remember. Read it a long time ago).

As a gamer and fantasy fan, the LitRPG genre is a way to scratch a little of the gaming itch while reading. The Chaos Seeds series is a fun read. I haven't read the most recent release and The Land focuses on a single character ability progression without a lot of the other great plot points that LitRPG has to offer. I think the genre is at it's best when the character's have to balance the game world and the real world. Ascend Online and Awaken Online are my favorites, showcasing more of what the genre has to offer.

Iain Banks's Culture series (beginning with "Consider Phlebas") is incredible -- one of my top sci fi series. Basically Star Trek's Federation dialed forward another 10,000 years (in some ways) -- it is the only sci fi I've found which is arguably as optimistic as Star Trek. The fourth book, "Excession" and the sixth, "Look to Windward," are the best ("The Player of Games" is the most... orthodox, and third, "Use of Weapons," is the most "literary" and generally acclaimed.) I'm sad that Banks could only write nine of them before he passed in 2013.
@ZamWeazle4 жыл бұрын
And yet they are 90% better than most "classic sci fi" I read Look To Winward a week after i read Dune. Dune was just dull, distant and humorless in comparrison. And The Player Of Games hooked me like no other.

It's actually pretty easy to get back into drawing if you like the idea. Overcoming your fear of putting pen on paper and it sucking is the first step. After you get used to the idea that not everything you're gonna do is will be a masterpiece, then you're good to go and you can start learning. Get a sketchbook and go wild! Speaking from personal experience as I've gotten back to drawing after a 15 year hiatus (the fear you mentioned) and after a few weeks I was already starting to see improvement in how I was sketching - the lines were much more confident :D

Some different books there. I really enjoyed The Deed of Paksennarion, really well done military fantasy with some interesting world building, and has an old school D+D vibe while still being quite adult. The sequel series is really good as well. Player of Games is one of my favourite Sci-Fi books, would probably be my favourite if the next book in the series Use of Weapons wasn't one of my favourite books of any genre.
