Hello Daniel i'm a big fan of the channel sorry about the book greeting wet. I did look it up on Google guy Windsor Neil Gaiman in found a podcast talking about the book. The you tube channel is call the creative pen. Iv'e been listing for 3 year how in she great so if have have time you should look her up. If you can't found the episode just like you the book on google in you should found the episode then she did with him. Have a great in awesome keep up the good work.

I'll add my own recommendation to check out His Majesty's Dragon. The later books in the Temeraire series lost my interest, but I enjoyed the first three books a lot. It's very light on the fantasy part, apart from the dragons.

I'm glad you are going home and did not push it back. I left home in 1996 and have not been back since. Texas lingers in my heart and on my soul. No one there in Houston anymore, my generation of our side of the family all left it and went back to our family roots in East Tx or like me left the state entirely. Family is so important. Good Luck

Temeraire by Naomi Novik is one of my most favourite fantasy series of all time, up there with Erikson and others of his calibre. DEFINITELY give it a try. I am very surprised that you haven't read Novik yet.

The Naomi Novik book is set during the Napoleonic Wars. (not me that sent it!) I actually really enjoyed that series for the characters and the military dragon setting which you don't see very often. But the quality of the series was a little patchy! Quick reads though :)

Novik's Temeraire series is unique; Horatio Hornblower on the backs of dragons. Not for nothing but Novik did video games design before writing novels, including work on the Neverwinter Nights series.

Ajin: Demi-human. An anime show that has really well-thought-out plot, a decent cast, incredible villain, and none of the wacky nonsensical comedy that throws you off. Thought I'd just drop this recommendation here. It's on Netflix too. Dunno if I should give away what it's about, but it definitely has fantasy elements and all that jazz.

The Temeraire series is unique. Of about 3000 fantasy books, that one is memorable and different. Book 6 is eh, but everything before that's pretty good, especially book 1. It's dragons and Napoleon. What's not to love?
