As a new player the fucking hardest part is extracting and knowing which extract points are active on top of that navigation of the map get easier but still, took me 2 weeks to finally get my first extract and I got lucky

I advise you to play offline raids a lot to learn extracts, as you can't lose stuff offline it will be helpful as it was to me

In the beginning press o-o then look where you need to go and find that location on this video, after that make a path in your head to go there. That's how it work for me. This is my 2nd day playing this game and it seems to work for me like this.

Man I was legit about to give up on the game. I don’t really have any friends so I don’t have anyone to show me the ropes or anything so I’m trying to go into all of this essentially blind. I’ve gotten comfortable enough with the layout for the most part and a lot more confident in being able to fight people but I would still just be running around these maps like crazy and often times having not much of a clue where I’m at. A lot of the time I’ll have a full bag and what not and want to extract but always end up getting picked off after wandering and getting irritated after looking for a place to leave for 20 mins, running out of time or just straight up dying from my wounds slowly or from hunger or thirst. Now that I’ve watched your video on this I’ll have a map on another tab as well and I’ll actually be able to find a place to leave the map. Thank you so much man, imma give the game another go now because of you.

Great video! I wish I had watched this, before entering a scav raid impulsively. I hit the 10 minute remaining mark, and opened the video. Sniper roadblock wasn't available, neither was Railroad to port, or crossroads, and I ran out of time, ending with an MIA and no XP at all. Hooray for Tarkov...

As a new tarky player keep in mind the map orientation if you are using a compass like myself. The true north on this map is inverted so keep that in mind while navigating

I were just Scav and I visited the Sniper extraction spot and it didn't let me extract. I also visited Rail Road to Post but got no extraction there either. Then I run out of time to find any other place. So how do I know when I can extract in these location even?

Why do most of the extract zones you go to not count you down for extraction? Like the old gas station. Since you played as a PMC shouldn’t you of got a notification that you are being extracted?

Took me all but last 5 minutes to find an extract... A couple didnt work and the only option i had was to go all the way to the corner one. (bottom right on the map) idk why they made it so complex... Many paths are cut off and you have to walk along the fence just to get back to the area you need to go to

I think it's because the bigger population in the area are the Scavs so it'd make sense that they have a bit more extracts than the PMC factions...but that's just my opinion!

Hey I get a stable 70-80+ fps in Customs in offline mode without any AI scavs, but as soon as I turn on the setting to enable scavs, my FPS tanks down to 40s and 30s. Even in Online, I start out with 70+ fps and then it goes down to 40-30fps in a couple minutes. (I've tried High settings, and then the lowest settings possible, everything down even the render quality. No difference. "Use Physical Cores" setting does nothing either) Please any tips or recommendations would help. My specs: RTX 3050 TI 6-core 12-thread i5-11260h (4.0Ghz- 4.4Ghz) 8GB DDR4 3200mhz M.2 SSD
