Great review again.Although comparing an £80k car against a £60k M4 is a bit unfair. The M4 competition pack has sorted a lot of the damping issue mentioned.

I opted for the C63 not the S since I'll be getting it tuned this month too 620hp. So I didn't understand why spend the extra 5k

I spend the extra 5k and was defo worth it loved . The S is wider and looks more muscular the none S is just like a normal c300 . The sport seats are fantastic and confitable, red Amg callipers on my white beast looks great, tge size of the wheels is different I believe I had the black matte 👌mine is tune also 620 Bhp that when I put in race mode flight. I believe is just sport + on the none s . I was like you trying to convince my self but this is like compare a Audi A6 with a Rs6 .

Some big points I think your missing. 1, your comparing a C63s 1 addition £80k plus car to a standard DCT M4 £60k a rather large cost differential wouldn't you say? 2, The standard C63 looks no where near as good as the much more expensive 1 addition in aesthetics and looks rather bland. 3, the 1 addition come pretty loaded so again the comparison to a standard c63 with its small wheels and less standard kit 4, if you are going to compare the MERC VS BMW it would be fairer to say the Completion Pack M4 and the C63s 1 addition and still there a big difference in price almost £10k Final thoughts, BMW made a huge mistake in going back to a 6 pot engine and MERC made a great choice in sticking with the V8 all be it with a huge price tag. If money was of no object I would take the C63s 1addition but for 20k less and money being a factor the M4 CP wins hands down all day long

Nope, it's because the car is equipped with the 360 degree cameras option. When your moving slowly, even forwards, it shows a birds view of the car from all the different angles.

The Merc's gear shifter doesn't go through R like traditional ones do. All you have to do while in P is drag the lever on the right hand side down. PhaseXXI's answer is correct.

Not a bad article but I wish you'd followed the adage of 'less is more'. There's an awful lot of talking but almost no listening. You say that the major selling point is the sound but talk all over it. A bit more of a 'musical' interlude would be welcome (big band V8 type!)

I take your point about the AMG leaving the M4 behind, I've never been a big fan of the BMW. However, all that Marc has done is move this car into the firing line of the daddy instead of the M4 - the 911. The coupe has awful rear seats, so they really are comparable. The 911, as you know, is glorious.

As always AMG tires with ever bigger hp/torque numbers to beat BMW, just like Audi (that in addition also uses AWD). But both fail as one is a muscle car and the other has built in understeer. But great cars if not compared with BMW.

Fluterra every country has their own way to read horsepower. That's why most global cars have different hp ratings depending on what country you're in. Most car guys/gals know this... Beautiful car.
