Sony really gave it their best shot with their whole Non-Spider-Man-Spider-Man cinematic universe. But after three so-so received Venom movies, the horribly received Morbius and Madame Web, it seems like the project has finally come to an end with Kraven the Hunter… which is also a movie that exists now.
So check out the pitch meeting that led to Kraven the Hunter to find out how it all came together!

"Isn't this guy a villain in the comics" was pretty much my thought when I was watching the movie and realized that they were trying to make Kraven a Venom-like anti-hero. (The movie theater I go to has $5 days, so even if the movie's lousy, I'm not out of pocket too much, plus I was honestly amazed that Crowe apparently wanted to do another comic book movie)

@@Goldfish_1313 you know how it is, quality is in the eye of the beholder. These sort of films are a big investment (130 production, at least another 60+ for promo), so there will be a lot of players worrying about the money first, shoving in product placement, watching the dailies and giving *a bunch* of arbitrary notes, getting parts of the script rewritten over and over, on the eve of being shot, then chop it up in edits, then record some extra lines, reshoot some scenes, edit again and so on to finally arive at this sort of Frankenstein monster that nobody likes. On top of that it's a giant studio, the bigger the institution the harder it is for it to course-correct, even after they got blasted for 2 of these already. Long story short, Madame Web's battle to open a Pepsi can in every other scene was not in the script that was greenlit. Yet here we are.
