Hey! Please do a pitch meeting for Southland Tales!!! It'll be super easy! Barely an inconvenience. I am going to comment this for as long as you make these, until you make it. I will never give up. This is my one hundred twelfth attempt. Please, for the love of great and shitty cinema, do one for Southland Tales. Thank you for all your hard work keeping us laughing.

why are they doing so badly? like is there some specific reason they can't make a good movie without spiderman?

These characters really only have relevance from their history with Spidey. Without him, they're pretty light on interest. Try making Romeo and Juliet without Romeo.

@@globalincident694because they turn villians/anti hero’s INTO SUPER HERO’s…That’s why people hate this crap, they aren’t following the source material either
@amdreallyfast6 сағат бұрын
@@globalincident694 no specific reason that I can think of. The contract for allowing Sony Pictures to continue to hold the Spiderman intellectual property for film is dependent on them making a new film within their Spiderman IP collection once every term of their contract (which I've heard works out to some odd number like "5 years and 9 months" or something like that), and yet somehow, despite the broad IP rights afforded to them in this contract years ago when Marvel films were still just testing the big screen to see if anyone was interested, the people in charge are remarkably effective at hiring film producers and directors and writers who are unable to understand and tell a story about what made the characters interesting to the original audience. Their consistency is impressive. Now I'm wondering if their film crews consist of a lot of "half fans", if you will, artists who want make the production their own thing and only take inspiration from the source material and not reproduce it, people who know enough of the source material to be interested, but not enough (or maybe don't respect, or both) the source material enough to tell one of those interesting stories. So, no specific reason. Just a whole lot of not having the right people. That's my current opinion
