Almost bought all the assembly parts but I can only find larger bags of Haribo. Will I still be able to make the pitstop extruder?

Haha for sure! You'll have to pay special attention though. Too much Haribo can lead to stomach ache or other printing issues.

Would this design work with the MMU3 kit being installed on a prusa mk3s+ i was planning to buy the bluroll's aliexpress clone mmu3 kit and would love to also upgrade to this hotend design for the ease of nozzle changes

Hi, does the stock X motor and belt guide holder work with the pitstop or do you need to print the revised ones?

Stock works just fine.

Great! Now I can order all the little pieces =) I think PETG will be more then sufficient to print since the original parts are printed in that. Or do you have experienced problems with parts printed in PETG for this mod?

Fair point. I haven't tested PETG tbh. I expect it to work similar to the stock extruder. I imagine most people don't have the necessary enclosure to reliably print ASA anyways.

@@FragAttack23 I haven't tested that one. You can try if you don't get any warping or layer splitting issues. Let me know how it went if you decide to go this route (once I release the files).

Klaus, thanks for the reminder. I had to delay the release until the end of the week. I'm still thinking what to do with the STEP files. I'm a bit hesitant at the moment and would like to first get some feedback from the community to incorporate in the design before I share it and it explodes in a thousand directions. Feel free to keep buzzing me if I don't move fast enough.

Awesome! You’ll be wanting a holiday after all thus editing! I did a “modular 3d printed casting flask pattern” as a release on thingiverse, and after 9 videos i was exhausted! Cant wait for the release, the noctura fan arrived today, its HUGE i love it!!! (I wonder if it’ll improve overhangs greatly)

Just checked your video series. I love how you're showing the iterative process. And some video effects. Well done! The Noctua will help with the extruder cooling, but will not improve part cooling. I'm looking into adapting a better shroud because the stock one isn't doing the job too well.

bought the same grease as you got, but it did not lubricate enough some how, then i used silicone sprey and it helped a LOT ps: mihai maybe you got a clue why i get the x-axis belt error, it says i should check the lengh of the x-axis belt, like i said above i lubricated the rods properly so the extruder moved freely when i push it with my hand, what i allready did trying to solve the problem; lubricated the rods - didnt help software update - didnt help tensioned/losened the belt - didnt help

Is it going all the way to the right by itself? Make sure there are no wires (Pinda cable?) In the way. I hate that wizard.

@@MihaiDesigns since i got this printer it never goes fully to the right, but in the past the test worked fine, i had this issiue few months now, tought with the new extruder its gona be ok again

@@kthec1298 yes they are tricky like that. I'm guessing you're having this issue at calibration? In that case you can help the extruder a bit with your hand. Kind of a hack, I know. The firmware is set too sensitive for these bearings.

That is correct. I might make a Mosquito version if there's enough interest.

@MihaiDesigns Can confirm, the mosquito hotend will need its own design of the pitstop to work, unfortunately I am a very unskilled modeler and could not make it work with my limited skills
