I wonder why they did away with the cigarette lighter adapter. I just got my new charger and it no longer contains that part.

Take a look at the Boost X Version (GBX45) which is very similar but USB C charging and can charge much faster than the older style for only a few bucks more.

Can it charge a riding lawn mower battery?🤔
@RoadiJeff14 күн бұрын
The video showed it charging a cell phone, so I would think that it could also charge a lawn mower battery.

lots of equipment around resulting in lots of dead batteries and these devices have at least solved the issue of getting the equipment started. our unit starts everything from the 4 wheelers to the D5 dozer. incredible devices and we use the GOOLOO New GP2000.

Do you think the best place to store it is in the trunk? , some were saying it’s not safe to store in the car because of heat
@PittsburghPat5 ай бұрын
Thanks for your comment. I've never had any issues. And it has been a crazy hot summer. Where else were you thinking of storing it other than the trunk?

@@PittsburghPat I had never bought one so some comments online were saying extreme heat or cold could hurt the battery or cause it to swell. I read that after I already bought it. But I’m gonna store it in the trunk

Could have got away with the Noco GB40, but went for Noco GB70, gives me a bit more wiggle room with capicity for larger engines, will apparantly do 40 jump starts on a single charge. Brilliant piece of kit.

How many times can it charge a dead phone
@PittsburghPat4 ай бұрын
@dc5131 I never tested that, but that's a good idea for a video. If I had to guess I would say over a dozen times.

Hi! I was also interested in this topic so I found that the GB40 has an internal battery capacity of 24Wh and my Iphone13 has a battery size of 12Wh. That means I can only charge it twice (assuming the phone is totally drained)... But there are other Noco models with a lot bigger battery that would allow for several charges (they are much more expensive of course). So my conclusion is that it is very expensive if you just want to use it as a power bank, but it is definetely worth it if you will ever use it as a portable jump starter! I will buy one and put it in the trunk as a back-up.

Idk who "THEY" are but this all stuff that is written in the advertisements/packaging/owners manual/jump box and is pretty common sense for just about all of the 5 things in this video. What you probably overlooked in the manual is that you shouldn't leave it plugged in and fully charged for more than a week, if that. Also that you should take it out and charge it if it hasn't been used in a couple of months. But most importantly, it has overdraw protection which keeps it from being discharged to a state too low to recharge, BUT if you use the Override function that protection is disabled. All of that is important for the life of the unit and the health of the batteries and didn't waste 8 minutes. P.S. these are really best for being used regularly, as in for a person who jump starts vehicles regularly during their workday.
