I love Jon so much. It can’t be easy having 6 of your 8 kids not talk to you, likely because of what their mother has told them, but he says nothing bad about them and always says he’s willing to be in their lives but leaves it up to them. I vividly remember one year on their birthday, he made a post and wished happy birthday to Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah, and Joel while that same year Kate made a post wishing Alexis, Aaden, Leah, and Joel happy birthday. That spoke volumes to me. Additionally, he doesn’t get in the way of Hannah having a relationship with the others. I just really respect the guy and wish the best for him. I hope his other 6 connect with him and with Collin one day.

Just an interesting show to watch if it was on. - - *I remember being SO appalled at Kate's behaviour screaming at Jon in a grocery store. She was saying something like, " You have to me over HERE! RIGHT NOW!"* I felt terrible for Jon and then I started to notice how she was such a drill sergeant with the kids. Of course being strict is necessary, but there was a race or contest and she said she wouldn't 'let them win' just because they were kids. I hope ALL the children are well. Sad to see some of them have to chose sides.

None of the kids ever said anything about their dad. Kate babied the twins and Mady is exactly like Kate- note that the twins went to different colleges because of their differences with Kate. Jon gave Hannah and Collin more attention to Hannah and Collin because they got none from their mother. Collin finished high school with Jon and went into the military and Hannah is in college but she’s been with Jon since she was 14 at HER choice.
