I'm switching from OnePlus 5 to Pixel 5 for the Google version of Android experience but comparing spec side by side has given me another level of respect for OnePlus once again given how the 3 year old device almost stands on par with 2020 Pixel 5. No doubts I'll love the Pixel 5 but huge props to OnePlus.

Yep that phone is so expensive here in Finland (885 USD/749 euros) it is as expensive as other "flag ship" phones in the market here. The model 4a 5G is 699 euros (825 USD) so that's only 50 euros cheaper than the more expensive 5 model.

@@jvierinen that was such a shocking pricing by Verkkokauppa. I almost settled for the 4a for €449 when I thought Google cancelled my Pixel 5 order from UK store. Thankfully later on the order was dispatched and things worked out. Thankfully the preorder bundle comes with a Bose QC35 II so it'll be a decent deal if I sell those headphones making it quite worth paying €675 for the whole deal.

I believe this phone will be king of battery life! Compromises are the reason it will, the compromises are with it. Will still feel flagship! Can't use 120 hz, if there's no battery left. Faster chips don't work, if there's no battery left. Bigger phones, with bigger screens, need more battery. And finally, if you find yourself running errands all day in the city or you're in a park or the woods, battery life matters. Just imagine a world when we no longer think about chargers and wireless charging so freaking much!

Google knows what they're doing when it comes to the hardware they're still using for the camera. They know the limitations well in advance of the hardware they've received to work with. If it wasn't going to keep them at least competitive in the market they wouldn't be using it. They're very confident in their software capabilities and that's what makes a Pixel a Pixel.

Very good in depth review. Google has chose a new road with the mid-range 765g processer. It's just not my cup of tea. 7oo.oo bucks USD is just too much for what's offered. I certainly would not pay the full monty, £600 is too much, as at that price I can get OP8 Pro. Hopefully, there are enough Pixel fans out there to sell the reported 800,000 Google hope to make, though in Europe, in that price range, Google will find it hard to sustain sales after the initial hype.
