Then Pixel 5 is better choice. Better ergonomics, better display, gorilla glass 6 vs 3, almost the same photo and video capabilities and overall user experience. The first iteration of new CPU is struggling. I'd stay with lovely Pixel 5 untill 8th gen smartphones. It's has unique design and feel.

@@berva zenfone looks generic from the front, no symmetry and i lersonally think their launcher is too heavy. Pixel 5 isn't flagship of course but it works and feels way better than any midrange phone. Specs are definitely not the main point in UX imo.

Pixel 6a needed higher refresh rate and it would have stood a chance. Also terrible finger print reader really hinders all pixel 6 range devices. I have had them all.

@@berva When did 60hz become bad for general use? I came to the pixel 6a from a 120hz phone, the Redmi Note 10 Pro. And even if i do feel a difference, it is FAR from a bother at all for general use. Honestly in many ways, i prefer a 60hz display in the way that it doesn't hog battery life, and just that i don't really need more, since i mostly use my phone for music listening and social media. It's definetly not as smooth, but far from a "real pain".

POCO is not a reliable phone. Don't get attracted by the specs on sheet. It was much worse signal strength and also they suddenly stops working without any warning, happened twice with my phone and one of my friend's.

Nothing phone is new player in smartphone game and there is long way to prove themselves. Btw. Back of the nothing phone is too gimmick, made to impress kids, and it's ugly. If there is Nothing phone with more conventional back glass withouts those ugly LED lights, i will definitely considered buying....

Just an opinion, but being “disappointed” about Gorilla Glass or not… it’s just a dumb argument. Glass displays are going to shatter, PERIOD. If you knick it just a bit, the value of your phone is going in the trash, Android or iOS - it doesn’t matter. All of you, do yourself a favor and ALWAYS use a screen protector. Even a cheap one will help protect your investment for longer without depending on some BS “device health” service Google or Apple try to sell you. FFS

Something 9to5 Google missed : Tensor is a bad chip. It heats up pretty bad in cellular network outdoors draining a relatively small battery. Also, Fingerprint reader is a big flop. No security in pixel phones. It seems Pixel 6A FP scanner can read anyones FP.

@@amalthomas1081 Buy a phone based on what is now, not what it could be with updates. I had a P6, and the signal drop was HORRENDOUS! No answers from Google support and no replacement device under RMA. 17 bug reports sent to Google support over 2 days. Their solution was coming in "24 hours" then "72 hours" then "as soon as we have one." Which they don't, Tensor and the Exynos modem are just hot garbage.

I just got my Nothing Phone 1 yesterday. My last few phones have been Pixel 4 XL and Pixel 6 Pro. There are definitely areas that are better on the Pixels but this is a solid phone with a premium build for a cheaper price.

It's just slow.... Damn slow... But not unreliable like 6 and 6 pro. Unlock issue has only been in the India review unit that too on the 2 devices. It's a waiting game now. Better not to buy pixels at launch

Google should just give up. Each iteration of their pixel phones are becoming shittier and selling less. Pixel 6A has 60 hz screen, one of the slowest charging speed at this price range, Tensor is no way a premium chipset.. It's struggles in games against even the 778G found in nothing phone 1 , the security is a joke.. It's now a well known bug that unregistered people can open your device using the fingerprint sensor.. Only pro is the good camera but that's not enough to save it.

@@deagle7776 you can find an s22 for around $500-$550. It's a much better phone and is considered a flagship. In the UK, you spend £100 and you've got yourself an s22. I've still got my S10 from launch and I feel like it has more features than even the s22 because of the 1440p screen and headphone jack! The cameras are better, but it still takes great shots.

Your eyes can't see 120 htz refresh rate. For that matter you can't see 60 either You may notice a more sensitive response on the touch screen. On an Android you can adjust the sensitivity of the touch screen and make 60 htz feel similar to 120. Most phones drop the refresh rate back down to 60 htz because half the apps you use don't support it. It's a marketing gimmick, like 8k. They pull the same crap with televisions.Personally I don't see the use in scrolling your screen up and down blazing fast.
