I have been loving the experience of using the Pixel 9 Pro XL in the month I have bad it. By far this feels like the most premium and polished device that they have released. People complaining about the Tensor chip probably haven't even used one of the new devices. Performance feels great for day to day tasks and the overall UI of the device is more smooth than most other Android flagships devices.

What makes it and other “compact phones” so practical in day to day use is that they are not as wide as the pro max or galaxy ultra phones, I tried a mid range honor phone that is literally as tall as the 16 pro max but it felt sooo easy to hand with one hand as it is way narrower than the pro max! Avoided the previous Pixel Pro's because of the size, but the 9 Pro is just right for me and upgraded from a Pixel 7 (unusual as I tend to keep my phones 3-4 years). I do like the smaller form factor with the "pro" features, good decision Google 😀 (but should have 256gb as standard) 😂. Will be interesting when Android 15 arrives, hopefully later this month.
@valismind19 сағат бұрын
I agree with the 256GB as standard, it's a shame google stuck with UFS 3.1 and not 4.0, or else this would've been avoided. But I am sure, in some way this would've also made it MORE expensive ahahah.

interesting re lightroom, I've had it on my regular pixel 7 and now on pixel 8 pro and it runs really well and smooth, never noticed any sluggishness (I use it regularly with the raw files from the pixels). Do you think it could be a connection/cloud synching issue your side? Usually for me it takes a sec to load the image I want to edit but after that everything works instantly within the adjustments and when changing filters/looks and so on. Great video in any case, I always enjoy watching your stuff - it refreshing to see a tech reviewer that doesn't try hard to be edgy:-)

Nice review. Thank you. "Worth It" Depends on what you need it for. I couldn't see it doing anything better than my S24U ( around the same price now ) After the newer updates it doesn't even come close in a lot of ways. I feel like if it was a sub $700 phone it would be a great deal.

I think if the Pixel 9 Pro hit Pixel 9 price, it would have destroyed the market. It would have been too good of a value. I think Google should perhaps replace the Pixel 9 with the Pro series. Spending less money on developing a whole other device could bring the cost down.

Maybe for users who are concerned about camera quality, etc. Honestly, the only major improvement the S24 has over the Pixel 7 Pro is the cell signal antenna seems better. May switch back to a Pixel some day or go with the OnePlus 13.

The cameras on pixel is overrated. Bro most of us love to take photos in portrait mode. But portrait mode of pixel is literally a trash. You cant take portraits on optical lenses in this 1100$ phone which is totally a disappointment. You should have talked about this in your videos, i watch your videos regularly. Please tell Google to use better main and telephoto lenses so that we can take iPhone or Samsung like portraits in pixel in upcoming days.
