11:59 Instead of disabling the Subsurf modifier and having to remember to turn it back on for rendering, leave it on and just set *Levels Viewport* to 0 - that's the whole reason why you have two separate sliders for viewport and render. ;) Awesome tutorial though, esp. with timestamps - thanks for sharing!

Didn't he disable it only for the viewport? The "show in render" option is on from what I can see.

I was wondering if the footprint could actually show the bottom shape of the shoe. Like, whether it's a boot with ridges or a sports shoe with an emblematic bottom shape. Does that require more subdivisions or is there a way to "project" the shape of the shoe on the surface?
