I would wake 3 miles on the week end to see a east side kids movie back in the early 50's, for 25 cents I could get a ticket a bag of popcorn and drink now days that would not pay the tax on a ticket

Interesting camera work in this film. Clarence Muse is a great actor! I loved seeing the two black characters with an understanding that no white guy could have. Wonderful to see in 1940.

Bowery Boys Comedy movies were funny. Sort of cult-tish even. Lots of Leo Gorcey and Huntz Hall fans. Can't get any of the 1950's movies on YT. Those ya gotta pay for. Even the original Bowery Boys movie posters are very expensive.

I don't think that was the case I think the print they had just probably had some damage to the very end of the film and it had to be cut out and that's all that was left of the print so they just stuck a generic the end on the end of it and that was it.

Funny, I just wrote the same thing about it ending abruptly. Movies back then did. There be would be a slow pace going on, sometimes a way too long intro, then a steady pace, or a slow one, and then all of a sudden everything would wrap up in 90 seconds or less. It always leaves me feeling like the movie isn’t finished right. They didn’t bother with epilogues at all. They just stopped abruptly. Very common in older films.
