PJ: Perhaps, since they won't let you go to the office, you can get them to run along and find out the name of the person who can give you permission. Make sure you get the security guard's name just in case he doesn't do what he is told.

Wow an excellent view of the site and the amount of vehicles and trailers they have gives you an indication of the amount of business they are doing in the kitchen industry, that is probably why they didn’t want you to fly your drone over as you will see to much.

I do however think in their script it should say, “Thank you for calling the police, what’s the nature of the crime that you’re reporting?” …. And for 999 Calls… “thank you for calling the police, who’s life is it that’s in immediate danger?”

When someone says they will call the police if you do something, it's usually used as an attempt to intimidate or scare you into not doing that something. So one response is to let them know that if they do call the police, they will find themselves involved in a civil law suit, that they will have involved their employer in the same case, and that their attempt to scare you will backfire on then.

PJ surely you must have heard of section 99 of the Flying Drones Over Private Property Act 1812 amended 1815 and put on the statute books by Horace Walpole. This makes it a bit rude to fly a drone over a factory which doubles up as the residence of dopey security guards. (or so they would have you believe.)

I am amazed at how these security guys approach the auditors, with what are you doing, this is a private site. Doesn’t anybody ever train these guys up to expect an auditor at some stage as auditors are out and about more these days. Having said that surly the SIA people could educate them when they do their SIA security course and that would make peoples lives easier as they would understand the situation.
